Faro is a lovely place to visit. It is very relaxing there and not overcrowded but still has a nice buz. The people are very friendly. It is a lovely city to stroll around at your ease. There are beautiful sunsets there. The transport and distance to the airport are all very easy to navigate. It could also be used as a base to explore other areas.
You need a rental car unless you want to stay entirely in the hotel. Limited supermarket in walking distance for beverages and chips. In 2,5km distance at the entrance of the resort is shopping Center with a more equipped supermarket.
I liked the fact that most of the interesting landmark were easily accessible by walking to the hotel. The transportation was great as we used Bolt, Uber and Vamus (Coach). View of the harbour, visit to Forum Algarve and the museum. With 1800 steps we covered a lot of Faro
Quiet mainly residential area. Beautiful long sandy beaches Long board walks that connect beaches. Great walks and cycling in area A trip to Loulé is a must and Faro old town and beach is easily accessible. Great restaurants all along beach.
I really like Faro, especially the old town, lovely winding cobbled street with beautiful restaurants on the corners, set out with coloured chairs and checked table clothes offering an arrayanes of fresh fish cuisine. Also the harbour us lovely, lots if benches to sit a while and take in the view.
Not child/ family friendly. Outdoor pool freezing. Indoor pool reserved for adults only even though when we booked it had children’s times scheduled. Main reason we booked was for the indoor pool. Very isolated if you don’t have a car. Otherwise everything was as expected in a 5star hotel.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Faro. The cleanliness was exceptional, and it was clear that a lot of attention to detail went into maintaining the space. The location was perfect, just a 15-minute walk to Faro Airport, making it super convenient for my travel plans. The staff were incredibly pleasant and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed.

Apart from having to check in at another hotel, the Baixa was in a convenient location, but didn't have a chance, as it was dark, to really look around. This was an overnight stay and we were only there for about 4 hours, before we left for Faro Airport.
