Situated on the edge of Emmen, a 9-minute drive from the centre of Lucerne, feRUS Hotel offers stylish rooms in a former factory building. We loved the interior design - everything was in a new modern industrial style decor, which we loved. Also the staff was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was great and superb value for money - we had our friends over for breakfast , which was not a problem. We just paid a very reasonable price forty more people, which we found very handy. We had our dog stay with us at the hotel, which again was not an issue at all. So all in all we were very satisfied with our stay and can highly recommend. We would book again any time.

The property was very clean and had updated appliances. No bad smell. The beds were comfortable. It sits in a nice and peaceful neighbourhood. The host was very kind and gave us valuable information for our very brief 2-day stay for sightseeing. In those 2 days we were able to see everything we needed to see on our own : Titlis, Jungfraujoch and Matterhorn. We would have spent almost $3000 on the tour agencies (as we have originally planned) had the host/owner not give us great information based on his personal knowledge and experience.

Opened in early 2013 after a complete renovation, Hotel Lux in Emmenbrücke is just 6 km from Lucerne. It offers free WiFi and free parking. Breakfasts in Swiss hotels are usually modest. This is most likely related to high food prices and reluctance to waste it. Everything was fresh and delicious.
