Situata a Tanabe, a 500 m dal Museo d'Arte Kumanokodo Nakahechi e a 35 km dal Tempio di Kozan-ji, la Private house Kumanoyasai BASE offre la vista sul giardino. A quiet, peaceful little house set amongst rice fields in the village of Chikatsuyu. We arrived in the village a little earlier than expected and ran into the owner, Shino, in the street. The house is a short walk away from the mean street, set amongst rice fields. Small but comfortable, and being a small village, everything is close. Of note, it’s a 10 minute walk to some shops (with bakery and supermarket) and in town there is the excellent cafe run by Shino herself and some great coffee shops. We got the full meal package and Shino’s dinner was excellent and we had breakfast the next morning in her charming shop. The bento lunches provided were perfect for the trail.

Offering a garden and mountain view, KUMANOYASAI Cottage is set in Tanabe, 28 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall and 30 km from Hosshinmon Oji Shrine. The property owner is very helpful and friendly. Good communication before the arrival. She arranged dinner and breakfast (both delicious). Also arranged luggage transport to the next destination. It all went smoothly and effortlessly. It is possible to do laundry in the cottage. This might be handy after hiking at Kumano Kodo for couple of days.

Old Japanese renovated country house with modern interior and comfortable arrangement inside to accomodate 4 adults. Area is beautiful and quiet. In the middle of orchard and village houses.

Set in Nachikatsuura in the Wakayama region, 一棟貸ゲストハウス パンジー offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The house was spotless and had all the necessary amenities for a very comfortable stay. We loved that it’s a fusion of traditional Japanese and modern interior decor. Looks like it has just been done up. All the appliances look new. Our host is a lovely lady who showered our child and us with omiage and treats. Wish we could stay longer!
