The house was huge, with 3 rooms and a living room all for ourselves, it was all clean and very comfy. The fact that there are bycicles rent free was also amazing, the owner gave us 2 electric bikes for a ride to the shrine along the shore. also got cupons for a lunch set at the family's "blue taco" restaurant which was very good! Laundry is also free to use.

Located in Omihachiman, 34 km from Enryaku-ji Temple and 35 km from Sanzen-in Temple, Guesthouse En offers free bikes and air conditioning. An absolutely beautiful property and location. It was so lovely to get out of the touristy areas of Japan. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and gave us great recommendations for the area. We would highly recommend staying here!

Located in Hikone in the Shiga region, Villa Castle Ginza has a garden. Wonderful place for 2 adults and 2 kids, 15 and 11. Very clean, plenty of space, nicely appointed. The house has everything you need. It's very close to the castle. The photos probably don't do it justice, it's bigger than it looks, unlike most photos. Great shower and bath. Beds are great. Much appreciation to the hosts. We stayed for 3 nights and absolutely loved it.

The place is very conveniently located right next to the castle and the shopping street. The kitchen is well equipped (there were even paper towels and Saran wrap, which most hosts forget about), and there is nice big western-style dining table. The tatami rooms have bed mattresses, so they are softer than normal futons. The bathroom was clean and modern, and has a nice washing machine (with a second one and a drier outside!).

A lot of space, and complete utensils to eat with. Owner was nice and friendly even though we did not meet them but they were very responsive through chat. Easy check in. Perfect for big groups and families.
