Just be aware that the roads are steep and the streets are narrow if you're arriving at night. If you look up Gjirokastra on google and see the images of the place, be sure that one of the old townhouses you see is most probably one of the houses you'll stay in if you pick this place :)

I don’t think the pictures and descriptions do this house justice. It’s beautiful with amazing views of the castle. 5mins walk from the main bazar. It’s been lovingly restored by the family. Lovely personal touches throughout the house. Everything is new and exceptionally clean. Large outside courtyard with a lovely little sunny terrace to have coffee in the morning. The family are so helpful and go over and above to help. We had fresh eggs from their hens for breakfast and a fig cake delivered still warm the next day. They were there to help start the car when the battery went flat. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

The stunning view from the window was the icing on the cake – every morning, we could admire beautiful landscapes, which added so much charm to our stay. The location is also excellent – close to major attractions as well as peaceful, charming spots where we could relax after a day of sightseeing. We highly recommend this house and would gladly return in the future!
