great location, just far enough away from the beach bars to get a good night's rest, but close enough to walk to the action. You can hear the waves crashing from the house. The soaker pool was essential to cool down after enjoying the patio. The A/C units worked well to cool down the bedrooms. The wifi was fast- streamed Netflix no problem. The kitchen had everything you needed and even more, including 2 huge bottles of drinking water. Mike, who stays in the apartment below, (the owner/ host )was extremely helpful and on site to answer and questions and even told us about restaurant's nearby. He gave us our privacy as well. He also picked us up from the airport (for a fee of course), there isn't Uber in the area which is great, in my opinion. There are taxis as well. The family built the property with their own hands, so the do take good care of it.

So beautiful- a haven for a couple of nights. Bring mosquito repellent! The owner was SO kind and let me leave my bags in his home and shower for a late check out as someone new was coming to stay. Cannot recommend enough!

This house is amazing, we had the best time! It's a mostly outdoor house, with each bedroom being almost its own apartment. There is a small well equipped kitchen, and an outdoor living room with a big couch. There are comfortable chairs and sun loungers, and the swimming pool is very nice. The cleaning staff comes every day (there's a timeframe you can agree on), and the host is very easily reachable for any questions or problems. The house is about 15 min walk from the nearest beach/restaurants area, but the walk is through the mountain. We did it with flip flops, it's not too difficult, but coming back at night its very dark. Having said that, taxis are cheap and available. The host shared a lot of information with us, such as taxi numbers, and delivery drivers that can deliver cooked food, groceries, medicines, pretty much anything from the shops/restaurants. We had a great stay, and would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful villa with spectacular views from all angles. The pool is bigger than it looked on the photos and was a lot of fun. Rooms are beautiful, unique and have everything you could need.
The villa itself was chic and nice. The hospitality was amazing. The staff was helpful and friendly. The nightly happy hours were a nice touch. We opted not to have breakfast most days, but the one day we did was great.

We especially loved the location: Really close to the beach (5min walk) but remote enough so that it's really quiet during the evening/night. Plus, the collectivo to take you to Mazunte is close by as well.

The Villas at Maquil are amazing you have everything there.The staff are there if you need anything and also the staff are very friendly. Emilio, Carlos , Abigail and Malu were very friendly staff.
Everything was great. Cleanliness, view from the room, the room itself was beautiful. Reservation came with very good complimentary breakfast. The place is very luxurious in terms of design and service quality, with very nice, helpful and attentive staff, but in the same time you feel like at home, with chilled vibe around. There is a happy hour with complimentary wine and beer and its a perfect opportunity to have a chat with other guests. I highly recommend villa with private pool, it was amazing.
