Kavidi is a fantastic host who was extremely caring and super nice and supportive. She organized a safari trip for us and helped us with other questions as well.
The accommodation itself is very clean and organized and you have everything you need. It’s a 5 minute walk to silent beach which was great as well. Not that many (good) restaurants around however.

My stay here was short. Of course the garden exceeds all conceivable expectations. This is probably the greenest place I've seen on my travel in Sri Lanka)) Photos fully correspond to reality and even more beautiful in reality because of many very unique handmade design solutions. A little rain didn't bother me at later evening and they kindly provided me with an umbrella for free for walking, that was a nice gesture. Breakfast was served hot and on time. Beautiful serving on a handmade tray. Very tasty tea by the way. Satiety felt normal. At tmy request, they assisted me in transferring by tuk-tuk to Tangalle and they saw me off very touchingly. Thanks for all.

This little pearl with an utmost kind host Dileepa was a true bargain for what you are getting. It was very clean and has a lush garden which consistent of different fruit trees. Every bedroom has its own aircon. Dileepa is very helpful in arranging quality trips to National parks, turtle viewing and heaps of other stuff. This is all done for a very good price-quality !

Wow, what an amazing boutique hotel by the beach. We stayed in the romantic villa, it was just fabulous, spacious, very clean and the private pool was just a dream!

Third visit to the resort, which has been upgraded and now includes some luxurious villas, a second restaurant and a pool. Staff provided their usual excellent service, The villa was huge and fitted really well with the surroundings. Though the sea can be quite rough in this area of Sri Lanka, being in the middle of nature makes up for it. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, freshly prepared and tasted great. Breakfasts were very healthy. Would not hesitate to return again.
We got the villa room which was great value for money compared to western prices. Very boutique resort vibe, so it was nice and quiet. You can tell management has a strong focus on upkeep around their grounds. Beachfront also (the villas are set back from the beach however - but only a 2 min walk to the sand).
This is my second time visiting Shivas and therefore would highly recommend it to everyone. The location is very peaceful and the staff are great.
We had one of the beachfront villas and spent the afternoon lying in our hammock relaxing which is exactly what we were looking for at this part of our trip.
After dinner one night we took a walk along the beach and found the conservation project were out looking for turtles, we managed to see a turtle heading back to the sea after laying her eggs which was very special.
I think place is quiet ok but we stayed during non seasonal time so comparing other home stays in Sri Lanka this place is quite expensive. It says "luxury villas" on their tables but it is just a room without anything special. In rooms there are no tea/coffee or electrical device for something to drink. You have to buy everything from their restaurant. Also even tea/coffee are really expensive...
Everything was perfect here. We booked 2 private villas that were very beautiful and calm. The food was delicious (you can book lunch and dinner here, if you want to). My mom and me had ayurvedic massages which we loved - I really recommend trying it. Also, one day we got food poisoned (not in this hotel) and the staff, especially Supun, was so nice about it - they agreed to prepare just some plain rice for us for our dinner. Even though it’s a bit further from the Tangalle city, it’s a perfect place to relax.
