Incredibly clean and spacious. Much more modern than I expected. We were a group of 13 (4 adults and 9 children) and there was more room for sleeping if needed. We would definitely visit again.
They had a blow up pool for the kids, surfboard to borrow and sand buckets.

This is our 2nd time staying at Aquaholic, and it won't be our last. Every stay here is so relaxing and beautiful. The customer service is so inviting as soon as you arrive, and they are extremely accommodating through your stay. The house is impeccably clean, and the view is always stunning! It's great to be able to have all the walls on the back of the house open to see and hear the ocean and let in the natural light during the day. This is a wonderful gem tucked away in a private corner of Shimoda. We are already excited about our next trip to Aquaholic Iritahama!

The host was great - called for two taxis. We wanted to be significantly above the beach yet still see the ocean so this was great. Recommend Copa for margaritas and fermenco for pizza. Also note you will be sent directions - screen shot them from google translate as you may need to tell the taxi where to make two lefts after getting to goishigahama neighborhood.

The property was recently renovated it seems, so it was in good condition. Iconic old japanese house ambience was all around. The host kept lots of utensils to cook and the TV and good speakers made our stay joyful.

This place is amazing! We stayed in the treehouse villa and it was so lovely! We loved the design of the villas and the stay was very comfortable. Jun, the host, is very kind and will make your stay even better. He took us to the place where you can see the fireflies. It was like a dream. He also provided us with the best tips for the area, as well as for the rest of our roadtrip through Japan. I highly recommend this place. We are 4 weeks in Japan, and this was by far the best and most special place. We hope to come back in the future!
It was a great stay. It is a single house. You can enjoy whole property. We had BBQ. Property is in deep mountain better to do enough shopping before hand.
Beach is in walking distance. A quiet village will calm you down. It feels to enjoy the relax time.
The villa was beautiful and it was amazing to be able to see the sea from the bed.
The owner was very friendly, spoke good English, had great tips for food and places to go and things to do. He even gave us a lift to the station on our last day which was ideal!
Being able to use the bikes was perfect for us as we had no car and buses don't go so often.
It was an idyllic place and a very relaxed base to explore this beautiful part of Japan.
