The cottage is located in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings, you can see fjords right outside the window, horses grazing in front of the bay. A very special place, highly recommended if you are looking for a beautiful and secluded getaway.
The cottage itself was very comfortable, warm, not suited for cooking though, but there is a village nearby with a restaurant and shop.
We ended up there due to unexpected circumstances and the owner of the place was extremely helpful, could not imagine a better place to end up in.
Appreciate it very much, thank you!

The best stay during our vacation in iceland! The view was absolutely amazing, since the cabin isnt far from the shore. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The interior was very well thought out, the kitchen was nice and had everything you would need. There were 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom.
Overall, our stay was very nice and I would say this was the best stay during our entire trip around iceland. Thank you very much for having us!

Loved the location and comfort of the home. The sauna was wonderful
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
A good basic room. Nice views with sea, mountains and horses (at least in clear weather). Clean modern facilities (kitchen, bathroom). You can walk to the village which has a shop, cafe and a restaurant.
First of all the location, placid, truly beachfront! Secondly the amazing bay window sea and beach views. Third the setup of the apartment, clean , modern, new, quality bedding and amenities, homey, cozy. We really appreciated a truly queen size bed at last and not two little singles together plus a very well equipped, modern kitchen. Last but not the least, a great caring owner with two wonderful doggies! (some horses too)
Amazing position just in front of the sea, super relaxing view and possibility to walk around free with a nice path to the shore (unfortunately our visit was very windy but we enjoined a lot the view from the cottage). Very close to the village (good restaurant and supermarket).
Tiny cabin with bunk beds for kids and sofa bed for two adults. Beautiful views of Hvammstangi cabins are just outside the village cosy one night stop for a family of four. Very clean. Basic kitchenette which was great as we were self catering.
Clean and silent apartment and as parents we appreciated to have own room when our child was sleeping in living room. Basic possibilities to prepare own meal and have food in fridge which is nice as the village is very small. In the evening we drove up north to see lot of seals in Illugastadir (bring own binoculars)
What I liked most was that the design of the house was very sophisticated. The space is perfectly used, so the small house is very spacious but also offers anything you might need; the kitchen was also super equipped. You can watch the sunset while having dinner and at night you even have a good chance to see the northern lights from the sofa. In the village there is a well-stocked supermarket and several attractions on the peninsula. The hosts were very friendly and the check-in very easy. Thanks!
