The house is perfect, it has everything you need for the perfect stay. The kitchen allows you to cook with ease, with the addition of the outside covered barbecue for cooking steaks/ lamb etc without setting off any fire alarms. All the essentials salt, pepper, spices, coffee, kitchen roll , sugar, etc etc were provided, with toilet roll, conditioner, shampoo, hand wash , body wash, etc which was a lovely surprise!
The bedrooms are very comfortable and the whole house is decorated to a high standard.
The hot tub is a jet spa which we used daily after a long day out. It’s perfect.
Having a cabin with bedroom and separate shower /wc means it’s also perfect for larger groups, as we were a party of 2 we had plenty of room.
The house has great facilities for washing/ drying and has a large TV if you feel compelled on stormy nights to watch a bit of television.
The icing on the cake is the location for northern lights, having a great 360 view without interruption means you’ve got the best chances. Out of 12 nights we luckily managed to see 10 nights/ mornings despite some very challenging weather in November. We didn’t need to drive out, we just happily sat wrapped up under the covered deck and waited for Aurora to appear. There is a main deck which has a sheltered covered area which is perfect, then a lower deck for the cabin, a base deck in the garden and to the side a grass garden area. Very nice garden furniture and a picnic table for warmer days!
The road to the house is a little pitted in winter but nothing crazy just drive carefully. We tend to have 4X4 or AWD car in November as the roads to tend to wear in winter.
The location is perfect for driving up the west coast and north. The host was lovely and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay at Lundur again and the other properties on the portfolio.

It is a beautiful cabin in the west side of the island. For those looking for adventure and trying in touch with some nature, this might be it. We had some wine inside the hot tub and saw the sunset. Is a small cabin, where the spaces are separated (main house kitchen, toilet and living) and (room with 1 double and a bunk bed). It is clearly a familiar house that they use regularly but rent it every once in a while

This place is spectacular. From the location to the facilities and staff everything was luxury. I made a mistake with my Icelandic, got the word for anniversary wrong and mentioned honeymoon instead - was greeted with a very nice detail from the staff. The two nights here were amazing, the room was spacious with a great view, breakfast was plentiful and could even use the outdoors hot tub which uses hot spring water. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and wish I come back many more times. Thanks for everything!!

The facilities are luxury and the heated floors are a bonus. The hot tub was ready to use as soon as we arrived and the beds are super comfortable. This is truly home away from home and I highly recommend this house. We hope to be back here.
