A house and a half on Beara peninsula, hotel in Castletownbere

A house and a half on Beara peninsula offers accommodations in Castletownbere, 2.9 miles from Dunboy Castle and 2.9 miles from Puxley Castle.

Great location, short walk into the town. Great to have a space for our sole use. Fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar were supplied which was a lovely touch. We stayed in early Feb so it was chilly. I believe underfloor heating is being added soon. There is no connecting door between the living area/bedroom and the very large bathroom. This wasn’t a big issue for us but may be an issue for others. There was a great large walk in shower

Nana's House, hotel in Eyeries

Nana's House offers accommodations in Eyeries, 14 miles from Hungry Hill and 19 miles from Healy Pass.

It was in a stunning location. Overlooking the sea. In the distance the ring of Kerry peninsula can be seen. Boats can be watched lazily coming in and out of inlet. Perfect for touring the Beara Peninsula. Secluded and rugged landscape. The mountains are amazing. Really lovely driving tours. Within driving distance there is shore angling, dive spots, little harbors, small beaches, mining museum, stunning gardens to wonder through, breathtaking passes, waterfalls, nature reserves, walking trails, islands to visit, and more! Even a Cornish engine house to our delight. Our Hosts were so kind and went out of way to make us feel at home. With great advice on the local area. There is extensive reading material and brotures in the home of things to do locally and traveling in Ireland. Nana’s house is comfortable and we just loved our stay.

The bedroom was very luxurious, the bed was extremely large and comfortable, breakfast was continental style and was delicious, including Caroline's homemade brown bread and scones. The town is only a 2 minute walk from the B&B, where there are lovely restaurants and pubs as well as beautiful sea views. Caroline was a wonderful host and I would definitely recommend this B&B.
