House and Location are absolutely awesome. Very private and on the water with sunrise views. Having a fire in the evening made it perfect.

It was a beautiful little character home. The best location you could possibly get. Everything we needed was there. David was on hand anytime- couldn’t be more hospitable. Highly recommend a stay here. It’s a beautiful town.

We loved the quiet, rural location next to the Loch. We were able to watch superb sunrises and sunsets from the property. The cottage is centrally located and easy to get to all parts of the Mainland. The hosts are locals, very chatty and helpful with local knowledge.

The kitchen hot tap was very annoying indeed and it was not just a drip but a constant noisy dribble that spoiled being in the kitchen. I reported this but nothing was done. 2 frying pans were not useable on the induction hob.

Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Rustic and charming, exacly what you imagine a once grand hotel from 1901 in a small fishing village on an island in North Atlandic should look like, loved it.
On the main street of Stromness, so easy walking to all of the shops & centre of the village. Very quiet. Well set up with everything you could need for a stay. Clean, comfortable and nice looking place.
There is a flight of internal stairs to get up to the property
The hotel is very close to several of Orkney's famous neolithic sites - the Ring of Brodgar, the Standing Stones of Stennes, Barnhouse neolithic village and Maeshowe. Indeed, I walked in the evening from the hotel to each of these, usually having the site to myself. Skara Brae was close too. The Orkney West Coast Path, which runs from Stromness past Skara Brae to Birsay, was also easy to get to from the hotel.
This B&B was a beautiful, comfortable, homely place to stay. Kay, the host, was so friendly and helpful and an amazing cook! It is located right near the ferry terminal and in the centre of Stromness which has a lovely villagey feel.
A huge and luxurious cottage on the edge of Stromness. Amazing facilities throughout with high attention to detail. Excellent wifi, fully equipped kitchen, huge dining area and an upstairs lounge for relaxing. Perfect for a couple or for more!
Our host Deborah was a delight during our stay - couldn't be more helpful and was friendly and chatty. We didn't have an exact arrival time but she was helpful and accommodating on the phone and in person.
Our twin room was lovely and good value for money, with comfy beds. The full Scottish breakfast was massive and kept me going for most of the day! The property is also only a 15min walk down into the village of Stromness.
