We enjoyed the seclusion of this property. The chalet was perfect and clean with extras such as fresh hens eggs, homemade jam, homemade pastries, milk, coffee, and tea. Karen provides a surprise for those who stay for at least four nights! Karen and John encouraged us to get out and about on their property including interacting with the days old lamb, petting the pigs, and collecting hens eggs. My husband, nicknamed Anchor Man by Karen, took him with her on the quad to check on the sheep before sunset. It was lambing season and the ewes and lambs were checked on throughout the day. They took us on a tour of their property and up to the top of the hill for awesome views. Karen and John were always available to answer questions about their work and about the area. Our four days there went too quickly! We plan to return!

The property is gorgeous and quiet. The room in specific overlooked the ocean which was amazing at sunrise abd sunset. We had all of the comforts of a hotel and more since it had a full kitchen abd living room. We loved that they had tea stocked in the room which saved us from going out for it. It was in a perfect location to go to any of the many hiking locations on skye.

Poachers Bothy was a fabulously relaxing place for my stay on Skye. I could have stayed longer. It was comfortable and had everything I needed to prepare meals. It's central location on the island meant it was a short drive to Portree and easy to access the rest of the island. The views were amazing. Support from the owner was above and beyond during severe inclement weather.

We stayed in April (we're not very good at getting round to writing reviews!) and still have lovely memories. Great location, peaceful and scenic, beautifully and luxuriously decorated, thoughtful extras, super clean, very comfortable bed, kitchenette really handy, hosts very helpful and great to chat to. Overall we felt very welcome and comfortable and would happily stay again.
The property was beautifully appointed, luxuriously comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone. If returning to Skye, this would be my first preference. Excellent on all levels.
Amazing location 7 miles from the main town . close to good food and all the main tourist spots . private and special , the hosts left us alone for our own private space , the views are amazing , the hot tub is such a treat , the views are spectacular and the rotunda is well equipped for a luxurious private stay .
Perfect place for a couple to retreat , gad all we needed , and the view was Just absolutely stunning, would highly recommend, hot tub was superb, and the sheep super cute , Perfect in every way
