From start to finish everything was exceptional. Instructions on how to find the property, the heating was on and the place was lovely and warm, milk in the fridge, chocolate biscuits and fresh fruit as well as cereal. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was a mini cooker, which I didn't use, as well as a microwave and the kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils etc. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had shower gel etc. I couldn't fault this place and would definitely recommend it. Looks so small but extends further back then expected! The staff were so helpful and friendly at the pub attached for the keys collection and giving recommendations, the rooms were so comfortable and clean! Everything you need when you are visiting the village for a night!
The hotel is a former mansion and is very beautiful to looking at. My room was spotless and well provided with tea, coffee and hot chocolate facilities. The bed was so comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had breakfast which was good value and well done. Plenty of everything you would expect.
The location was perfect! A nice quiet village with a beautiful canal to walk along. 12th Century church within easy walking distance. Lovely staff, very kind and always smiling. The food in the restaurant was awesome! Steak cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for couples and walkers ...... we will be back!
Breakfast was freshly cooked and quality products, the room was clean and luxurious, and I asked the staff for something and they could not do enough to help, would definitely stay here again.
Hillcrest is very welcoming as are its hosts. It is warm, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. It is sunny and light filled and is tastefully furnished and equipped. Peacefully located in a charming small village, Hillcrest has wonderful views over surrounding countryside and its own large garden.
location is perfect for my annual visit to family members north of York and to shop at Turners Retreat at Harworth. I have used the Bell on earlier visits. The staff were always attentive and courteous. i enjoyed both my dinner and breakfast
