We had a very comfortable stay and a delicious breakfast at Alltybrain farmhouse. Our host was extremely welcoming and gave us a very good recommendation of where to go out for dinner. Our room and en-suite were spacious and we enjoyed having a lovely view and staying in a very peaceful location.

Where do I begin? The views from the property are exceptional. If you want a peaceful, luxurious treat, then this is the place for you. The hosts were very lovely and attentive. The property is very well appointed and the decor is tasteful and well thought out. The bed was more comfortable than ours at home! The countryside for long walks and cycling is stunningly beautiful . Crickhowell is the local market town which is authentic and charming. Our long weekend couldn’t have been better.

Quirky stay in a beautiful location.
The hosts were so friendly, nothing was a bother at all.
The breakfast tray was superb and well worth the money.
Family orientated, down to earth relaxed environment.
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
A truly luxurious accommodation set within a lovely garden with outstanding views, made for a truly exceptional weekend stay. The icing on the cake for us, was the hosts Clare and John, whose warm welcome throughout our stay made us feel more like family than guests. As someone once said “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.” That was how we felt and a return is definitely on the cards. Thank you Clare and John!
The lodge was situated in a beautiful setting and the building itself had such character . Our room was really nice and we had a lovely view . The staff were really helpful and friendly . The restaurant had a good choice on the menu and our meal was delicious . It was also in a lovely room with luxurious decor
We were met with such warm and genuine hospitality. The location was peaceful with stunning views of the black mountains only a short walk to nearest village. Breakfast was lovely, a nice selection served on a breakfast tray, it made breakfast feel like an occasion. The room was spacious and comfortable and it was nice to have a place to sit inside and outside. Will definitely be booking to go back.
Lovely, luxurious cottage. Very comfortable in space, layout, facilities, location is perfect, can't fault it really. Really enjoyed the character of the building, the tailor made window seats and the music corner.
The location was great and the staff were better. It is a great little location, in a lovely village and is an excellent gateway to some beautiful local walks, activities and scenery.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect location with small villages nearby, lovely airy big house with large rooms and well kept gardens overlooking the swans in the river. Breakfast was superb with lovely fresh fruit salad, nothing too much trouble and Tina was friendly and chatty each morning. Tina's attention to detail is to be commended, the house is spotless and her and Dave obviously work very hard to keep this standard. Absolutely perfect holiday, will definitely return.
Beautiful location with stunning views out of big glass double doors/windows (perfect spot for an evening glass of wine - there are bottles provided at a really good rate - or tasty breakfast). Helpful and friendly host, and lovely attention to detail on the design (there were little bee drawings and stitchings everywhere because we were in the bee room!) Great hikes, outdoor activities and pretty villages in the vicinity.
