We needed a place close to the airport in Guayaquil and Villa 97 was just perfect! The owners are super nice and helpful, the accomodation is beautiful and clean and the breakfast was most delicious. We wish we could have stayed longer in Guayaquil (we did not feel unsafe at all) and will definitely come back to this place if we can.

The place is located right in front of the malecón (waterfront promenade) and it was pleasant and convenient to stroll to some of the sites around the city. The hotel is undergoing renovations (so not sure if this will apply later) but although the finishes and furniture are a bit dated, the high ceilings, large bathroom, and other cool features make the place feel like perhaps it used to be a colonial mansion. I would stay here again.

Very nice rooms, that look very luxurious at the first glance. Still very very nice at the second ;) as a airport-near stay very recommendable! By taxi/uber for less then 4$ into the city center.

Nice and luxurious hotel, friendly welcome, spacious rooms, although loud air conditioning. We had a nice dinner there and did not eat breakfast. Is a bit far from Malecon (5USD by taxi).

Beautiful hotel located in a historic villa just at the Guayaquil waterfront. The owners did an amazing job renovating the building, while at the same time keeping its vintage spirit. The stay here is worth it just for admiring the magnificent architecture. But despite that you will experience amazing service, perfectly kept rooms, beautiful views from the hotel's terrace and amazing breakfasts. This is THE place to stay when you come to Guayaquil.

This was a wonderful find! Not far from airport - but feels a world away from Guayaquil. Fantastic views - amazing pool. We didn't want to leave. A nice retreat. Had a friend by for drinks and we were both impressed with the house - it must have a unique and interesting history. My daughter and I love swimming in pool after breakfast. Garden beautiful and well kept.

the staff were so friendly, attentive, present, and helpful. the property is an old mansion converted into a hotel and it really has a cozy, luxurious home, quiet and private feel to it. the pool and gardens are beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. just a short ride to the airport which was great as we stayed here on a layover. they let us stay on the grounds while we waited for our evening flight.
