A great place to stay to visit the great wall and experience a peaceful Chinese village. The entrance to the great wall is just a short walk. This section of the great wall is so quiet that we have the whole place to ourselves. It is also not very restored so you get to see some of the original wall.
They also cooked fresh food from their garden for us. I have been to Beijing twice and did all the major tourist spots. I have to say staying here and hiking the wall in peace is my best Beijing experience.
The owners/ the parents of the owner, who run the hotel could not be friendlier, more helpful or the mum a better cook!!! Chose this hotel based on the comments about the food, knowing my husband would be in 7th heaven. We were not disappointed! Do not expect high-end luxury rooms and bathrooms, it is what it is, but, it is everything thing you need, clean and an insanely good price for that. Come for the warm family, friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and the best of Chinese hospitality you can get at any price!!! Loved our stay.
The breakfast was amazing! We had the Western breakfast, the eggs and homemade bread was delicious. Ellie had a cheesecake waiting for us when we arrived, and it was so good. The rooms were clean, the villa was very modern, and it was quiet. Lovely place to stay.
A wonderful little guest house. I would definitely go back. Super cute, quiet, clean and very calm. The village is quite nice to have a little walk, and it is very close to the great wall. We had a fun hike with two kids ages 5 & 8, and we all loved it. The guest house serves a nice breakfast, and we had good Chinese food for dinner.
The hotel is located in a small village near Gubei Water Town and offer lovely rooms with a fantastic view of the mountains. The facilities and all new, the beds are comfortable an the bedlinen as well as the towels sparkling white.
it was well decorated in the reception area, very comfortable seating with non-stop supplies of tea. The room was clean. The staff were pleasant and tended to leave you alone after helping. The room had water supplied, two bottles a day, and a kettle. The village was nice with a good supply of restaurants and food shops.
Amazing location for a quiet retreat yet very close to all the fun and exciting views of Gubei Wtown. The hiking park near the village provide astonishing views of the Great Wall and breathtaking sights of the mountains.
The bathtub facing the glass wall is a luxurious addition to the four poster bed and high ceilings. Homemade breakfast tailored to your taste was delicious
The area is so beautiful, the villa is so warm and modern. The shower and bath was my favorite part. The staff were so helpful and really go the extra mile. We loved every part of our stay here 01q
