In the chalet is absolutely everything you may need (the kitchen has everything), cozy sleeping rooms, big terrace for morning coffees and evening beers, its just perfect. Absolutely recommended for everyone who loves nature or just want to relax in peace.

The location of this hotel is incredible. Right on the lake, with easy access to swim and close to a children's playground where they can play with water. The rooms are old and need remodeling, but for the price it's a good value. The village the hotel is located in is super cute and the walks on the lakeside are pleasant. The restaurant was good, nothing fancy, but we had a Czech couple waiting tables that were so kind and thoughtful really made for a wonderful experience.
The location is quiet and nice not far from the picturesque Brienz. Modern building near the local small village, interesting concept of "museum" together with hotel.
Lovely family hotel near the lake. We had a very spacious room with seating area and a view towards the village of Brienz and mountains. We had dinner in the restaurant which was great with generous portions at standard Swiss prices (for us Kiwis very expensive). Good shower, very comfy beds. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

Great location. The village of Hofstetter is within walking distance to Ballenberg Open Air Museum. The village is charming in and of itself, with flower deck chalets and cows with bells. The view of the meadows and mountains from our room was very nice.
