Located 14 km from Natur Waterpark, Casa dos Correios offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation provides a patio. I had an excellent stay. The property as fits the name is in the post office building which was partially converted to rooms. There is a theme around all of the rooms and a small display of history and artifacts. The staff at the property was excellent. I had to stay overnight for a matter in Vila Real and was very tired. I was able to get checked in quickly and after dinner, Paolo the owner told me the history of the hotel. The room was large and super comfortable with an outstanding shower. I paid the breakfast-inclusive rate and had a great breakfast to start my day with excellent coffee. If I have to stay in Vila Real again, Casa dos Correios is my first call for a reservation.

Located in Marialva, Chalês - Maria Alva provides accommodation with private pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. The owners were very friendly and welcomed us with some treats. The houses are well located and have excellent insulation, almost no need for air conditioning. They are very well equipped and the hygiene was excellent.

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa, the recently renovated Casa da Margarida offers accommodation 17 km from Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km from São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum. Very clean, central position yet quiet. Good facilities including kettle, microwave etc.

Located in Peso da Régua and only 3.1 km from Douro Museum, Casa de Sergude provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Awesome view, friendly local vibe, property was super clean. Great recommendation from the owner on a tour guide.

Located within 17 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 41 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Apartamentos Barbosa offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Vila Nova de Foz Coa. Very lovely apartment and well located. The host was the best! No hassle and a truly helpful and genuine individual.

Set within 16 km of Douro Museum and 36 km of Natur Waterpark, FAFEL LITTLE HOUSE - Quinta de Cravaz offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lamego. Everything was very clean and nice. Studio is quite small but cozy and for two days it was enough. We didn't cook so I can't tell how it would be if we did. Bathroom is nice and spacious. We booked studio on 2nd floor but the owner gave us 3rd floor for a better view.

We liked the personal approach and introduction of the house. And also helped us orient us in the town. Spacious, comfortable for the whole family. Kitchen fully equipped with basic ingredients for a breakfast. Washing mashine was also useful.
