We woke up to a stunning view of the mountains and sounds of birds chirping. The location was perfect, quiet but close to the center. We had a little difficulty finding the property but the owner was able to assist us easily even though we arrived late at night, she attended to our texts and requirements quickly.
The lodge itself was lovely, very cosy and includes a lot of necessities and most importantly very clean.
Located right on the Aare River, just 984 feet from the center of Interlaken, CityChalet historic is a protected heritage building surrounded by a large garden.

Great location. The facilities were clean and had enough space in the kitchen for everyone to cook dinner. We had the twin room and the beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helped me with anything extra that I needed such as an ironing board and hair dryer.
The location was perfect, right at your footstep you have the bus stop (which was free!) which could take you directly to the train station. You certainly didn’t need to walk far to find a supermarket, shops etc. The kitchen was a saviour given eating out in Switzerland is very expensive- included multiple ovens, cutlery etc. My room had an incredible view of the alps! Use of the dryer was free however the washing machine was expensive- not a bad idea if you are willing to hand wash some items.
We had a comfy stay in the center of town, with the train station, grocery stores, and restaurants all very close by. Kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommended.
