They hire local staff and operate a river cruise to see hippos, and maybe crocs. They do a fantastic job! High recommend this place!

Hotel Heinitzburg is a restored castle with a unique architecture, set on top of a hill in Windhoek. It features a pool in a manicured garden, a wine cellar and two restaurants. The location was perfect, the view over the city is amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful, my favorite was the man helping to park the cars he is so friendly and inviting.

Although we had to leave early in the morning, they made breakfast for us and brought it to us. They also told me about recommended restaurants and things to be careful about when sightseeing.

If you can book the suit it’s bigger than a house. Staff are so friendly and attentive. We have travelled the world and stayed 5* in so many locations and nothing comes close to this hotel. Loved every second of our stay.
