What Guests Said About Kotor:

Kotor seemed a bit overrated to me.

Kotor seemed a bit overrated to me. The crowd is not as elegant as Italy, and the prices are not competitive. Service is not too good. Most places are tourist traps. Impossible to find parking place. If you are staying 2.5 km's from Kotor Old Town, expect an hour of traffic to arrive in 38'C. Lake Garda, Italy offers more value for the same money. I'll not return to Kotor.

Interesting old town and great food. Super crowded. Don't go at the height of summer. Took 2hr to drive 8km. Water has bugs when its this hot with 4 ships and overloaded accommodation and we got sick. Go in Sept/oct.

Kotor is gorgeous - but getting very popular like its more glamorous/well known northern neighbours in Croatia. The traffic in and out of town can be very busy, so allow plenty of time if you have plans to do something at a specific time. Parking was also a little tricky at times. Cruise ships come in and the town gets even busier. The local people were lovely despite all the tourists (some of whom I'm sure don't behave well!), the location is spectacular and the views from walls (and above) make it all worthwhile. Get in before it's loved to death!

Kotor is a great place for a trip or vacation.

Kotor is a great place for a trip or vacation. We loved the historic town with its narrow streets. There are many restaurants of all kinds, especially with delicious sea food. The town is more expensive than places further from the sea (you can get the same quality for half the money in Podgorica), but you can find good restaurants for with reasonable prices even in Kotor. The Kotor Bay and the sea is nice, warm - go for a speed-boat trip! :) Also the Kotor Cable Car was a ride! and the sunset from the top of the hill was just beautiful (the restaurant at the top has a nice view, but there is a little hill just next to it - you will be rewarded by much nicer views from there).

Kotor is a stunning place to visit.

Kotor is a stunning place to visit. The old town is beautiful and was not overly busy during our stay. The back drop of the mountains is stunning. Wide range of food offerings and not too expensive. My only negative is, give the location of Kotor set back in 2 bays, is that the water is not as clean as in other places.

Kotor Bay is a truly unique destination where you can enjoy...

Kotor Bay is a truly unique destination where you can enjoy the sea, mountains, and local wildlife (mainly cats!). The area offers tasty beer, delicious ice cream, and a variety of local foods. With historical sights, charming local (mostly fruit) markets, and stunning views, it's easy to fall in love with this place. The locals are incredibly friendly, and there are countless bars and restaurants, most of which accept cash. You'll find sweet little shops with unique souvenirs, creating an atmosphere that feels somewhat like Croatia, but more authentic and less stereotypical. Five days weren't enough for us to fully experience everything Kotor Bay has to offer; we absolutely loved it. However, there are a few drawbacks. The wine is extremely overpriced, (over 5 euros for one dcl) and the city center can get overly crowded at random times during the day, even when the sun is unbearably hot. To avoid the crowds, I recommend exploring early in the morning or after 7 pm, especially on Sundays when it's much more peaceful. Additionally, Montenegro lacks fast roads and highways, leading to terrible traffic in and out of the city. The roads are very curvy and can be difficult to navigate, so those prone to carsickness should bring motion sickness pills. If you're planning to visit Kotor primarily to spend time at the beach, this might not be the best choice. Beaches and swimming spots are often super packed 90% of the time, and those that are less crowded tend to be either difficult to access, filled with trash, or both.

The apartment is equipped with everything you could need: plates, pans, pots, cups, glasses, bowls, cutlery, refrigerator, washing machine. the location is very good: we walked to the beach, in the old town and by car to Porto Montenegro, Tivat, Perast and even Dubrovnik. The hosts are very nice and waited for us with cold water, wine, cakes and ice cubes. They were very attentive to details (coffee, clothes/dish detergent, salt, pepper, soap, shower gel, towels) and helped us with all the information needed.

This was an amazing stay for us in Kotor! The location might be the best part, in the Old Town in an old building. You're surrounded by quietness, as the windows are placed towards a small courtyard. The room itself was kept very clean, tidy and serviced by a nice and helpful host. Furthermore, you have all the amenities you need, even a small kitchen! We loved our stay and will come here again when we get back to Montenegro.

Enjoyed the location in the center of the old town of Kotor, it allowed you to immediately immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the vacation. The apartment is well renovated and has a nice view. There is also a small kitchen with dishwasher. Jaroslav, the owner of the apartments with his wife are very helpful people. They told us all the important information about Montenegro for tourists.
