Charming, spacious room and slap bang in the middle of the town, which is an unexpected delight. We did not try breakfast at the sister place as we ate in the local cafe in the square. Would definitely stay again.

Staff are lovely and very welcoming.
Great Italian restaurants nearby, we had dinner at one of them and the chicken in cream and mushroom sauce was divine.
We only had breakfast in the hotel a couple of times as we were room only.
Visit the minster and visit the library up the winding stairs if open. History there is incredible.

Wimborne Minster is a very picturesque town, with lots of cafe's, restaurant and shops, both high street names and independents, to explore. Sitting in the square, drinking a coffee and people watching, is a lovely way to pass an hour or so.

Quintessential English town with charming understated architecture and pleasant atmosphere. Good pubs/restaurants. The Minster is lovely to visit and worth the climb up the spiral stone staircase to see and hear about the chained library (one of only 5 left) but check opening times for the library. The Priests museum is also worth a visit and lovely garden for tea. Also, handy in reach of NT’s Kingston Lacey which is well worth 2-3 hours.

Bed was soo comfy, was going to read some things before going to sleep but just fell asleep straight away.
really friendly hotel, staff were attentive and knowledgeable.
location was perfect for a walk around Wimbourne, restaurants start 2 minute walk away.
really authentic Pub/Hotel (not noisy) with character and homely feel.
the hotel doesn't have its own parking but there are two within 1 minute walk, the larger one had lots of spaces and not many cars. big plus is car park is free 6pm to 8am.
I was so pleased that Ian and Ingrid offered a gluten free option for breakfast. My room was spacious with a very comfortable king sized bed. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and overlooked the garden. The bathroom had a large shower which was easy to operate and that is always a bonus. Wimborne Lodge is just a three minute walk from the town which was brilliant.
A beautifully renovated house -very comfy bed & gorgeous facilities all round. Only a 10-15 min drive to Wimborne which is a lovely market town which we were visiting. We also drove to Weymouth for a day trip which took about an hour.
