The Breadalbane Arms Room Only Hotel, hotel in Aberfeldy

This 200-year-old former coaching inn is located in the main square of Aberfeldy, deep in Highland Perthshire. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and there is free parking on site.

A basic room but very clean and well appointed, very quirky as due to subsidence, my corner room had a slight slope with a door at an odd angle, I thought it was great. I had a very comfortable stay.

Ailean Chraggan, hotel in Aberfeldy

Located in Aberfeldy, a 14-minute walk from Castle Menzies, Ailean Chraggan has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

We stayed two nights in two different rooms and both were spacious and comfortable. The private bathrooms were fitted with large showers and heated towel racks. Breakfast was full Scottish or a choice of several other options including smoked salmon. Parking on site was close and off the road. The view from the restaurant and the covered veranda was of fields and mountains where we watched deer and rabbits during our meals. We returned for a second night because we enjoyed the first so much. The owner was there for both breakfast be and dinner. He is a wonderful host and very attentive.

We got this for an amazing price (no doubt due to it being out of season) and were expecting only a 1 bed lodge. We got 2 bedrooms (including an en-suite main). Lounge/kitchen area very spacious too. Would happily come back and stay with a couple of friends next time - in same size lodge.

Cozy Newly Renovated Town Centre Apartment, hotel in Aberfeldy

Cozy Newly Renovated Town Centre Apartment offers accommodations in Aberfeldy, 1.6 miles from Castle Menzies and 22 miles from Blair Castle.

Absolutely lovely spot. It had everything I needed and was close to everything but tucked back so it was quiet. The outdoor seating area by the burn was a special treat in the mornings. The flat was modern and comfortable and impeccably clean. A little tricky to find at first as it is around the far side of the building, but the friendly locals helped me out.

The Townhouse Aberfeldy, hotel in Aberfeldy

Built in 1895, The Townhouse Aberfeldy sits on the edge of Aberfeldy’s town center, a rural town in Highland Pethshire.

We have visited this hotel before. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly prepared, suitable quantity and bespoke requests were no problem to be accommodated. All the staff were very polite, welcoming and any requests for information were answered in full. The location is great and easy walk to the whole town and community walks.

Fabulous views and beautiful well kept lodges in a beautiful location with everything you need for a self catering holiday. However 4pm check in on Friday and 10am checkout on a Sunday made the weekend feel rushed and spoiled your Saturday night having to get up early the next morning to pack up the lodge and exit for 10am. A later Sunday checkout would have made all the difference

Aberfeldy is on the River Tay and set in beautiful countryside. There are outdoor things to do- farm trips, walks by the river or The Birds of Aberfeldy. In March the roads around are quiet and the views and countryside is so wonderful . For me The Watermill is one of the best individual bookshops anywhere and it has its own wonderful coffee shop. I want to go back .

Very pleasant area of Perthshire - plenty activities, walking, cycling and watersports etc. Not far from Kenmore, Killin, Dunkeld which are all worth a visit. Dochart Falls worth a stop on the way to Killin. Not a huge amount in Aberfeldy itself, but a good centre. For an evening meal we would recommend the Inn on the Tay at Grandtully which is only 10-15 minutes away - the food and service was excellent, and there's outdoor seating for sunny days, pretty much on the banks of the Tay.

We visit Aberfeldy every year and find it an excellent location to base ourselves and can travel around the area. It has a lovely town centre with a variety of shops and good selection of eating places. It is easy to walk to places and the highlight for those keen on walking is the Birks of Aberfeldy with stunning views. The Watermill in the centre of the town is a beautiful building and now a book store with cafe and well worth a visit. There is a cinema too in town with a cafe. It is easy to drive to Kenmore, Pitlochry and Blair Atholl when based in Aberfeldy. Karelia House is a craft store selling fabric and wool with a small cafe and based between Kenmore and Aberfeldy and worth a trip if you like sewing/knitting. Moness Hotel in Aberfeldy has a spa and small swimming pool and easy to walk to from the town centre. Near Aberfeldy is Grandtully with great views of the river. There is the highland chocolatier shop here too which has a lovely gift shop, a cafe and of course a selection of delicious chocolates. The Townhouse in Aberfeldy is a great place to stay and eat. Also visited the Waterfront restaurant in Kenmore which was excellent.

Aberfeldy is a nice, small town.

Aberfeldy is a nice, small town. There are plenty of places to eat (good meals for our taste) and there was plenty of choice including an Iranian/Mediterranean cuisine restaurant and a good Italian one. There is also a wonderful Bookshop (The Watermill) with a very nice cafe attached. There is a great variety of attractions to visit in the area - wonderful scenery and woodlands for instance. Also a swimming in the local Community Hub/school. One particularly good (and famous) local attraction is The Birks of Aberfeldy. There are also so many places of interest to visit, a little further afield. People here appear friendly and helpful. One particular mention to be made, is of schoolchildren who offered to help immediately, after I (Janet) had fallen in the town.

Aberfeldy is a small city and is easily walkable. We got our lunch to go from the local co-op and sat on a bench next to the river to eat. It's springtime and daffodils are in bloom everywhere. There is an excellent bakery and a good Indian restaurant (Chillies) in town.

Great location. Close to shops, pubs and restaurants. One minute from the River Tay. Ten mins from Loch Tay. Hotel is spotless and modern. We got the superior room. It was massive. Other rooms were large too. Owner and staff are very friendly. The owner ran me back up to the loch to get my car after we kayaked from the Loch down to the hotel. 1st time we'd been on a river. Was a lot of fun. Some rapids at the start. Was a little scary for a 1st timer. Then pretty smooth the rest of the way. Nearly 6 miles.

We liked the friendly member of staff who was there to meet us when we arrived and he was more than helpful. There were no eating/drinking facilities in the hotel but he advised us of some the the places where we could get breakfast etc which was great. The rooms were clean and just what was needed for our short stay in Aberfeldy.
