We stayed here for a night and were happy with this place. It’s a very good value stay. Staff were friendly and tried their best to accommodate their guests. They made me egg hoppers even though it was not on the menu. Their egg fried rice and chop suey were good. The property grows their own fruits and they always served us complimentary delicious mango, papaya, banana, pineapple, and watermelon. The breakfast is ala carte set menu, they served a lot of food, so best to tell them what you want and don’t want from the set to not waste the food.
As for the room, it’s decent for the price paid. Mattress and some furniture look new, shower pressure is great, very powerful so adjust accordingly.

A very beautiful property in the middle of beautiful nature. The bungalow was very nice and the bathroom was really cool. The staff were friendly and attentive.
We booked a safari through the hotel and were so glad we had a wonderful driver/guide. He was very knowledgeable, knew how to identify different birds and animals and took us close to elephants. He was a very good driver and we felt safe.

The owner and his wife were amazing.
The owner and his wife were amazing. They provided us with everything we needed. They arranged the Udawalawe safari and gave us a drive. It was a private trip as no one else had booked it. He also arranged a car for our onward journey. The wife prepared us an excellent Sri Lankan dinner with fresh ingredients. The facilities are not what one would describe as modern but it is important to say that the price reflects that. All things considered, I highly recommend this accommodation.

The location was great.
The location was great. We could walk to restaurants and the internet was fast enough to upload YouTube videos. These are the nicest people in the world. The breakfast they prepared was amazing. But we also eat lunch there. They have a cute little gazebo thing and they serve food and it's all homemade and delicious. They arranged for an elephant tour guide and he did a wonderful job. They will take amazing care of you. They will also answer questions about how to get there so you can take the bus or taxi for cheap if you want. They know everything and share everything freely.

The accommodation was tidy and clean, we enjoyed the stay. Also the breakfast and dinners were delicious.

Beautiful en-suite bedroom with bathroom, two double beds, dressing table. Drinking water is readily available and the owner will make you freshly brewed (proper) coffee or tea whenever you want. Wonderful breakfast with freshly cut local fruit, yoghurt, perfect omelette, pancakes if desired. Safari was very good. Lots of elephants in udawalwe.

Great stay with the friendly owner and his family! Everything was nice and clean and everyone was very kind. The owner helped us with arrival and departure and literally did everything for us. He arranged a half day safari for us at a very good price. Recommended places to go and eat. Breakfast is really good. Highly recommend this place for your accommodation safari.

We stayed here to go to Udawalawe national park. It was a perfect location for it, situated about a ten minute drive away. The hotel can assist with organising the safari for you. We had the buffet dinner which was tasty and reasonably priced in comparison to some other hotels we stayed in. The staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel had very chilled vibes. We thought the noise from the jungle would keep us up at night but the room was silent. The bed was very comfy and we slept very well here.
It was the perfect place to relax before and after the Safari in Udawalawe National Park. Ideally two nights are perfect. Our accommodation (luxury tent) was really nice, well designed and comfortable, a plus was the outside bathroom with jungle view. Also this place has everything inside, two swimming pools, a spa (quite pricey for Sri Lanka) and an exceptional restaurant with very good prices too. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. We’d definitely recommend to our friends visiting the area.
