We stayed here for a night and were happy with this place. It’s a very good value stay. Staff were friendly and tried their best to accommodate their guests. They made me egg hoppers even though it was not on the menu. Their egg fried rice and chop suey were good. The property grows their own fruits and they always served us complimentary delicious mango, papaya, banana, pineapple, and watermelon. The breakfast is ala carte set menu, they served a lot of food, so best to tell them what you want and don’t want from the set to not waste the food.
As for the room, it’s decent for the price paid. Mattress and some furniture look new, shower pressure is great, very powerful so adjust accordingly.

The chalet was large, clean, private, with great air conditioning. The pool is clean with nice poolside seating. The staff was incredible. The food was delicious. We stayed only the night before a morning safari, but we would wish we would have booked the night after as well. This was the most relaxing lodging we have found in Sri Lanka. Thank you Kalu!

We had the most amazing dinner here. The hosts cooked a vegetarian meal for us on arrival. The price was so affordable and we have decided it was the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka. The host arranged a second jeep to accompany his jeep to take us on a half day safari. The price was fantastic and he waiting to avoid big crowds, took us to see many birds, crocodiles and elephants with only our jeeps at the sites. He even packed a lovely breakfast with tea which we ate at the waterside. He took us in the evening to see the baby elephants at the orphanage as well. We highly recommend this home!

Great stay with the friendly owner and his family! Everything was nice and clean and everyone was very kind. The owner helped us with arrival and departure and literally did everything for us. He arranged a half day safari for us at a very good price. Recommended places to go and eat. Breakfast is really good. Highly recommend this place for your accommodation safari. M

There are peacocks, rabbits and ground warblers around, and we heard and saw many birds. No mosquitoes
Food is really good, we had eggs, local food, fruits for dinner.
Safari is also a great experience.

Very good place to stay, good view of jungle from room and breakfast. By the way, the breakfast cooked by the host's mother is extremely tasty and very generous, so we took some with us. The host was very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with, he helped us book the safari. It is important to say that the Wi-Fi and shower were perfect, which are not so easy to find in Sri Lanka. Would definitely recommend!

We had the best stay here, it was immaculately clean and maintained to a very high standard with really comfy beds, gorgeous soft bedding, brilliant A/C and toiletries included. There is also bottled water supplied for the guests and the owner is really friendly and helpful. We did a safari through and it was amazing. We had evening meal included and it was the nicest meal we had, plenty of food and really delicious freshly cooked ingredients.

We chose to stay in this property because of the good reviews and it was a great decision. The whole property was really clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was delicious and there was so much of it! The same can be said for the rice and curry we had for tea! They let us borrow a scooter to drive to lunch one day. They arranged an afternoon safari for us as soon as we got there for a good price which was amazing, the driver was so knowledgable. Our best stay in Sri Lanka, we were treated like kings and queens! see you next time..

It was the perfect place to relax before and after the Safari in Udawalawe National Park. Ideally two nights are perfect. Our accommodation (luxury tent) was really nice, well designed and comfortable, a plus was the outside bathroom with jungle view. Also this place has everything inside, two swimming pools, a spa (quite pricey for Sri Lanka) and an exceptional restaurant with very good prices too. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. We’d definitely recommend to our friends visiting the area.
Actually wonderful stay at this lovely little hotel. When we arrived we were pleasantly welcomed by staff. This place is very close to udawalawa national park. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and bathrooms. The next morning we were served delicious sri lankan breakfast. While our stay was short and it was very memorable.
