The room was HUGE, as was the bathroom. We had so much space, and a great view. A juice was provided on arrival which was a nice touch as well. The host was super helpful in organising a tuk tuk for us when we wanted to go visit our friends down the road. The location is only about a 5-10 minute drive from the park entrance, which is super convenient as well.

family is extremely friendly and welcoming. they organized some coconuts for us because we like them so much and stood up early to provide us with a packed lunch for the safari. Ganga cooks delicious meals and Niroshin is a safe driver whose taxi services we enjoyed.

I had a great stay at the lodge. It is the perfect place to stay if you want to do safari. The lodge owner made sure I got there safely.
The owner prepared a delicious dinner. It is the most delicious meal in Sri Lanka. And he arranged a safari trip for me. After I made the morning safari, I got a nice breakfast. It was given free of charge. There were many elephants. Would recommend both this accommodation and the safari.

I loved the little bird safari lodge it was set in beautiful gardens and the owners were very welcoming and accommodating! They organized safaris, transfers for us and even an amazing birthday cake for me while I was on safari! Lovely people, great food too, mango curry, jackfruit curry, fish curry among them were very tasty. The accommodation was lovely and extremely clean with everything you need and I think very cheap for what you get! 10 out of 10. Thank you for everything wonderful.

Room was clean, had towels, Ac, fan and mosquito net. Toilet paper available, comfortable bed. We also had welcome tea and bought dinner which was huge, delicious and very well priced. The hosts are very nice, they help you with everything. Safari is great. Ravidu sends his wife Shodhara on safari with us. There is a new addition.

Madu is a lovely person who cooked us a delicious meal. The room is very clean, the bed is comfortable and there is AC.
We also booked a half day safari through the owner which was amazing. The driver explained everything beautifully and he can spot even the smallest lizards and birds on the trees. We had a lot of time to enjoy the beautiful national park with lots of elephants. All are reasonably priced.

I rarely write reviews, but here I would like to recommend this accommodation to everyone. First, there is no mold here, the linens and towels are snow-white, the Wi-Fi is perfect (and I taught online all day via Zoom, never went wrong), the kitchen has all the necessary appliances, the bathroom is gorgeous, with great hot water. Amazing terrace with shower, beds with mosquito nets, air conditioning, desk and chair for work, chairs and table. Chipmunks run nearby and peacocks walk nearby. Getting to Udawalawe National Park was very easy. The hotel owner is very friendly. Also his family. Always ready to help with any problem. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Everything! We were a bit skeptical after reading mixed reviews but we honestly couldn't fault this place. We stayed to do two safaris in Udawalawe national park, it was 5 minutes down the road from the park entrance and our safaris were arranged for us by the hotel staff and paid through the hotel so very convenient. Breakfast and dinner were lovely, the room was clean, great bathroom and shower, AC and a fridge. We didn't have time to go in the pool but it looked very clean and welcoming. No complaints.

Hotel arranged an Elephant safari in advance, so we arrived, relaxed and the Safari commenced at 3.00pm. Soooo many elephant and the National Park is literally next door! Nice village close by to walk and interact with local Sri Lankans. Chef was able to cater for vegan/vegetarian diet without any issues. the Sri Lankan buffet at breakfast was really nice.
Really clean place, the best breakfast we ate during our trip. The owner is super friendly and nice, took us also to Udawalawe National Park and really tried to find an elephants - and he did it despite that we have dry season so it wasnt easy :) I really recommend that place, the room has view on forest so you can see monkeys jumping everywhere.
The hotel is located perfectly at a lake close to the national park. The staff is awesome making the stay a unique experience - caring so much. Food is the best. You can also book a safari. English is very good and it was very enjoyable. 10/10 will do it again. Thanks again for the best experience ❤️
