It was Winter ... fortunately, the bed had electric heating ... comfy.
Away from the town centre within walking distance to the cultural centre. Large property with few guests so it felt rather private/exclusive. The sound of local wildlife in the morning was special. View of the stars was amazing!
Key box instructions were clear for after-hours check-in.
Not quite certain what made my room "deluxe" but the price was right and I faced the mountains.

So well run. Many thoughtful details. Really enjoyed talking to other travellers from all over the world around the night-time fire. Beautiful setting. Kangaroos and cockatoos everywhere. Loved it!
Breeze Holiday Parks - Grampians is located just a few minutes' drive from the center of Halls Gap. Enjoy the peace and tranquility as you are surrounded by mountain views and native Wildlife.
It is a budget accommodation option. It was clean and the owner / manager is a very pleasant fellow.
The bathroom curtain didn't fully cover the window which left you a bit exposed in the shower - especially the woman...
The location is great, close into the town of Halls Gap and you can walk to everything.
The property is a bit on the decline and needs some TLC to restore it to its former glory. Pool table was the main entertainment and it was in poor condition with broken cues and a rip in the table.
If like us, you just want a budget accommodation option and somewhere to sleep so you can enjoy the majesty of the Grampians, then this is a good option. The mountains are out the back door (practically). We walked to Venus Pools from the hotel. So for us it was a good option and far superior to camping out.

Halls Gap is a fantastic destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Nestled in the heart of the Grampians National Park, it offers stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and a range of outdoor activities.
Highlights of my visit included:
The Pinnacle Lookout: A challenging hike that rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views.
Halls Gap Zoo: A delightful spot to see native Australian animals up close.
MacKenzie Falls: One of the largest waterfalls in Victoria, perfect for a refreshing break.
The town itself is charming, with friendly locals and a variety of dining options. Whether you’re into hiking, wildlife spotting, or simply relaxing in a beautiful setting, Halls Gap has something for everyone. I highly recommend it for a memorable getaway!

This was my first visit to Halls Gap.
This was my first visit to Halls Gap. I loved the trees, mountains and dining possibilities. There are so many short and long walks to do in the area. We went on a long walk and a couple of short ones over the two days. It is a good place for active outdoor loving people.

Gorgeous spacious cottage with everything you need for a great family holiday. We ate both nights at the shared bbq space with a wonderful view over a field with kangaroos and during our morning walks emu’s were walking around. Its a short drive from halls gap where hikes into the Grampians start. We’d definitely come again.
- The house is very well organized and has everything you need for the stay.
- The host has provided all info to have a safe and enjoyable stay.
- Only a 10 minutes walk to Halls Gap town centre.
- I have been to Grampians 8 times as of this writing and stayed at a few different places and so far this is my favourite.
The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with nice sharp knives. It was also lovely having a big open space where wildlife came to gather each evening in the holiday park. The fact that it was within walking distance of the Halls Gap Hotel was brilliant too.
This cottage was in a great location to the town of Halls Gap. It was an older house, but well set up and very warm for the cooler weather. It was nice and private and we enjoyed the quiet location and the sounds of nature.
