The buffet breakfast was good, and you ate in a nice restaurant. The rooftop patio was under construction, so we didn't get to experience it, but they did have a small outside patio we enjoyed. The location was good, especially for getting to the airport. The water taxi comes right to the hotel to pick you up and whisked us away to the airport. So convenient! The ACTV water shuttle dock is just a quick walk away so that was very nice too. Everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful. A/C worked great. Would certainly stay here again.

In a little alley so there is no noise from people walking down the major Rio Tera Lista di Spagna. We were in an annex across from the main hotel on the ground floor so did not have to take our luggage up the stairs. The folks at the desk were very nice and helpful. We did not book the breakfast and preferred to go out and about. The shower was tiny, but all in all it was an easy walk from the train station and a great place to sleep so we were very happy with our stay.

When we arrived we stayed on the Lido for 5 nights which I would recommend as its much cheaper and the vaporetto back and forth is a joy.
Getting a vaporetto back and forth from the airport is easy and good value.
After we finished our tour of that part of Italy, i.e. Ravenna, Bologna and Parma we stayed in Venice for our last night for convenience.
There is nowhere like Venice.

What a fascinating and magical place!!!
What a fascinating and magical place!!! Every corner that you turn you discover something new and wonderful :) We loved our visit, the quirkiness of some parts of the city, the history, the most amazing food, and of course all of the sights that Venice has to offer.
I highly suggest giving yourself at least 4 or more days to explore Venice. Take your time, eat great food, drink wine, go to the opera and soak up the general beautiful atmosphere.
Must see/do...Arrive by private water taxi (it's the best tour/transport and a wonderful intro to Venice); visit Doge's Palace (and then you can walk across the Bridge of Sighs); Visit the Rialto Bridge early in the morning (less crowded); If you are visiting on a Sunday go to mass at St Mark's Basilica; book a visit to the opera; What's a visit to Venice without a Gondola ride!!! Morning and day rides you will have less of a wait than the evenings; wander the streets exploring; eat gelato; stop off for an Aperol Spritz at a bar; and order the seafood!!!!

Likes: This was on our Bucket List as we are in our late 60,s /70. I we had no idea that Venice was that big with so many hidden gems around every corner. It is truly a labyrinth of hidden alleyways all leading to many surprises and very easy to walk. The Gondolas were truly the jewel in the crown and the beautiful echoing sounds of someone singing as they navigate the many canals. Everyone was polite and helpful in our journey through this magnificent country. Not to forget the busy Chanels where the pilots were kings of navigation.
Dislikes:The humid sticky heat. Made it impossible to try on any beautiful fashion that was on offer.

Venice is a wonderful city to visit and oerhaos to come back every several years for a short city break 1-2 days.
Beautiful street, delicious food almost in every place and no cars! Very unusual.
Would recommend a 4.5hr trip around the islands Murano, Butano and Torcello at £25 per person. I think it is worth the money.

as beautiful as the pictures. some places are mega expensive (16euro for a coffee at the main square) but a lot of places were reasonable. everywhere is picturesque. it is worth it to stay on proper venice not the main land. visiting the other areas is worth it too, we did the lido beach and murano. its so peaceful without traffic noise. toilets in pubs/restaurants dont have toilet seats and tend to be grotty which wasnt nice to discover. it all seemed walkable.
for a vegan it was a bit naff. most places required bookings weeks in advance and i tended to just be left with tomato pasta, which does get boring after a while, or marinara pizza, which also becomes boring. most places do oat or soya milk though that i went to .

There is so much to see I will be coming back many times!
There is so much to see I will be coming back many times! You can have so many different types of holiday here, art, history, architecture, sunbathing, food, wines, shopping, boating! Every restaurant I visited had lovely staff, the bag drop places were friendly.
What a great place to visit.
It wasn't expensive at all! The coffee, food, wine was the same price as any city and there were meal offers for tourists too, there are many supermarkets to buy snacks, and lots of coffee shops for a delicious drink.
Great location, wonderful hotel breakfast was beyond what we expected, best one in three wok trip in Italy. First time that we did not have stale croissants. The hotel did upgrade us from a junior suite to a suite very nice. Also on first night there was a complimentary bottle of wine very appreciated.
Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in Italy (All of them have higher stars than this one) - this one is the best as they provide kettle, biscuits and tea bags. The bathroom is clean and new. The staff was very friendly too.
Very close to train station. Good location to start for journey to most of Venice. Really close to all the nice bars and restaurants. Best air-con we’ve had in Italy which was needed as it was high 30s
As all the hotels in Venice city centre seemed super expensive we think we got a top location to a reasonable price.
Beautiful room and very good breakfast for being in Italy ;)
