In Venice, of course everyone wants to avoid the crush of tourists - but you also want to make the most of it. Location is key and this one is great. Close to everything but just a touch off the beaten path. Easy access to Rialto stop for the Alilaguna to/from airport.
Cheerful staff and great facilities especially for the price (TWO elevators, excellent room climate control, classic Venetian furnishings, nice rooftop bar). Concierge recommendations on dining were also terrific. Would definitely return.

The location was very handy - a short walk from the train station. But a much longer walk to points of interest like Piazza San Marco
The room was small but clean with comfortable beds and nice shower.

The rooms were incredibly outdated, with worn carpets and a generally tired feel that could use a refresh. When I brought up the issue of the cold room, the staff’s solution was to send an extra blanket, which felt inadequate and a bit dismissive. Compared to a boutique hotel I stayed at in Florence, this hotel fell short in both quality and service, with staff who seemed less attentive and not particularly friendly.

A short stay in Venice is a magical experience, perfect for soaking in the city’s unique charm. Here’s an overview:
Pros:
1. Stunning Scenery: The canals, historic architecture, and iconic landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto Bridge offer breathtaking views.
2. Compact City: Venice is walkable, and its size makes it easy to explore key attractions in a short time.
3. Romantic Atmosphere: Gondola rides and quiet evenings by the canals make for unforgettable moments.
4. Art and Culture: From the Peggy Guggenheim Collection to the Doge’s Palace, Venice is a treasure trove of art and history.
5. Unique Food: Venetian specialties like cicchetti (small snacks) and fresh seafood are a treat for food lovers.
Tips for a Short Stay:
1. Plan Ahead: Research opening hours and book tickets for major attractions to save time.
2. Stay Central: Accommodation near St. Mark’s Square or the Rialto Bridge reduces travel time.
3. Avoid Peak Crowds: Visit popular spots early in the morning or late afternoon.
4. Use Vaporetto: The water bus is an efficient way to get around quickly.
5. Pack Light: Venice’s bridges and cobblestone streets can make heavy luggage cumbersome.
Cons:
1. Crowds: The city can get very busy, especially during peak season.
2. High Prices: Food and accommodation can be expensive.
3. Limited Time for Exploration: A short stay might not allow time for hidden gems like Murano or Burano.
Verdict:
A short visit to Venice is well worth it for its beauty and charm, but careful planning ensures you make the most of your time.

Venice is an incredibly beautiful and historic city.
Venice is an incredibly beautiful and historic city. There are delightful sights all around the city. The crowds in Saint Marks Square are intense, but the Doge's Palace and Saint Mark's Cathedral are well worth braving the hordes, as the artworks are unbelievable. The Doge's Palace has room-sized paintings of Venetian sea battles which will give you an idea of the great naval prowess of Venice. There are museums and churches throughout the city which provide an better history of Renaissance art than any text book. Get out of the center of town and explore! Get on a boat to Murano and see glassblowers working. Get on a boat to Lido and have a beautiful day at an uncrowded beach. Or just wander the neighborhoods and see how the locals live. You won't be disappointed, as beauty (and great food) is everywhere!
If you are in Castello try the pizza at Nevodi. If you rent an apartment, the Coop markets have great pasta and sauces, fresh bread and a terrific selection of cheese. The local wines are delicious and inexpensive.

There was not enough time during my trip to see the beautiful city of Venice. Even Two or Three Weeks would not do it justice. There is so much Historial sites to see, so many places that you can visit, places to eat and a night life that creates a nother side to the city.

Not my first trip to Venice.
Not my first trip to Venice. But an introduction to this unique and wonderful city for a young family member.
The waterbus pass is essential and is very efficient to see within the main Island and the further ones.
The museums and churches are magnificent. Must see the Leonardo da Vinci museum and the lesser known Fortuny museum.
Give Venice the respect it deserves during your stay and enjoy!

This was our first time to Venice (and Italy for that matter!). Jennifer was so helpful; she answered all of our questions and gave us some good tips of places to visit (e.g., Murano Island). The location of the hotel is very nice as it is off the main touristy area yet still on the water with amazing views. Jennifer and Claudio were so sweet as they let us drop our bags off before check-in and they took them up to our room! A very nice treat for weary travelers. :)
All in all, a wonderful place to stay in Venice!
The room was the best we had on our trip to Italy. Modern yet still had the touches that made it a Venice hotel exposed beams gorgeous flooring.
Breakfast was continental and the gardens just off the dining room were beautiful.
From the outside the hotel looked nothing special at all - but behind that door was another story. Would love to stay here again - if we are ever in Venice again.
We absolutely loved our stay in the suite at Palazzo Paruta. The room was magnificent, the luxurious red bed, the beautiful marble floor and decorations oozed history and culture. Also placed in a perfect location for explore all Venice has to offer. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as well as offering one of the best breakfasts we had in Italy. Highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent , this interior completely immersed in the atmosphere of Italy . The furniture, the walls, the windows, it is the perfect place for the atmosphere of Venice . I am in awe of the people who work there and grateful for such hospitality.
