A Wonderful Stay at a Family-Owned Gem - Post Krimml Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming, family-owned hotel, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. Due to bad weather, I arrived much later than expected—around 11:00 PM—well after the reception had closed at 8:00 PM. However, they thoughtfully left my key card in the mailbox, allowing me to settle in seamlessly for the night.
The following morning, I went to the reception, where I was greeted with such warmth and kindness. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They spoke excellent English, which made communication very easy for me as a non-German speaker.
Not only was the service fantastic, but they also provided me with two complimentary cards: one for free entry to the Krimml Waterfall and the other, a summer card with additional perks. Their breakfast was simply amazing—delicious and plentiful. The room itself was very comfortable and relaxing, with all the amenities I needed.
The highlight, though, was the breathtaking view from my balcony, where I could actually see the stunning Krimml Waterfall. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the beauty of the surroundings, made my stay truly unforgettable.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Post Krimml Hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay with excellent service, great amenities, and an unbeatable location

The waterfalls were awesome. Even better than photos suggest.
Was quite busy on the perfect Summer’s day we were there, so parking was at a premium- I’d aim to arrive early if your situation is the same.
Definitely worth a visit, and a quite full afternoon to climb the steep but well manicured path to the top. Take plenty of drinking water for the climb.

As mentioned previously Krimml is a tiny Mountain village made famous for the nearby waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. Not much else to do but hiking and climbing and enjoy it’s beautiful setting. Early in the season - end of April, early May - there are very few if any dining out opportunities but the local grocery store has limited frozen ready-to-eat meals available. However, our rental apt. had no microwave oven but an electric stove.
Definitively worth a stop-over for the nature lover!

Krimml with Waterfalls is definitely a must-see in the region. Best is to take the taxi to the upper falls and walk down, which is 6,9km steep downhill and will take it`s toll. Trying to climb up is only for well trained people and mountaineers only! A drive from Zillertal across the nearby Gerlos Alpenstrasse is recommended! But watch the free roaming cows, which may appear on the road at any given time!

I liked this hotel a lot. It's located in a nice Austrian town, with Krimml waterfalls pretty close.
It was renovated not long ago, overall the interior gives a good impression.
There's a wonderful spa zone with a jacuzzi and a sauna at the rooftop, it is the one with the best view I've ever visited!
Breakfast was good. Also, there's a free parking near the hotel.
Perfect location, cleanness and hospitality. Close to Krimml waterfall (opposed to the starting point of waterfall’s tour-route). Fine breakfast and dinner. Overall excellent hotel, highly recommended.
Hotel just a short distance walk to Krimml Wasserfall. Hotel provided us free entry ticket to the waterfall (min must have 2 night stay). Room is comfortable and quiet.
We loved everything about this hotel. Outstanding room with a view to the mountains, very good fancy breakfast. Waterfall’s just 10 min walk.
Thanks for a nice stay😊
