The facilities were in fact the best way of spending the evenings after long days in the snow.
Just a 20-minute walk from the Krimml Waterfalls, this 4-star hotel enjoys a scenic location in the village of Krimml.

Located in a relatively quiet spot in a very busy little town not to far from the main attraction of the town. Lovely pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent, with a delicious buffet breakfast.

Great newly renovated hotel (at least part where we stayed), friedly staff, big rooms and balcony. Brekfast was nice, kitchen for dining was also exceptionally good.
If you are lucky, you get a room with a view for mountains and Krimml watterfalls. If you are less fortunate, there is a terrace on the last floor, where you can enjoy the same view.
The location is high in mountains, very quite, pieceful. Views on mountains are breathtaking.
The hotel provided us with "Sommercard", that gave us free passes for almost all locations around, very generous and usefull one.
The family-run Klockerhaus is located at the entrance to Hohe Tauern National Park, near the Krimml Falls. All rooms come with a panoramic balcony.

This is a beautiful traditional austrian lodge in a scenic location in a valley between many mountains. I eat breakfast and dinner there as well and both were great. My room had a nice deck and very comfortable bed.
The Sauna/Spa is no clothing so just be advised. It was not a big deal and the woman I saw wore towels. They have many different saunas segmented by heat level, a steam room, and a bubble tub that is at 87 degrees. They also have a cold bucket dump between sauna sessions and a relaxation room. Only issue was it was only open from 15:30 to 10pm. I would have loved to use it the morning I left.
The waterfalls were awesome. Even better than photos suggest.
Was quite busy on the perfect Summer’s day we were there, so parking was at a premium- I’d aim to arrive early if your situation is the same.
Definitely worth a visit, and a quite full afternoon to climb the steep but well manicured path to the top. Take plenty of drinking water for the climb.

As mentioned previously Krimml is a tiny Mountain village made famous for the nearby waterfalls cascading down the cliffs. Not much else to do but hiking and climbing and enjoy it’s beautiful setting. Early in the season - end of April, early May - there are very few if any dining out opportunities but the local grocery store has limited frozen ready-to-eat meals available. However, our rental apt. had no microwave oven but an electric stove.
Definitively worth a stop-over for the nature lover!

Krimml with Waterfalls is definitely a must-see in the region. Best is to take the taxi to the upper falls and walk down, which is 6,9km steep downhill and will take it`s toll. Trying to climb up is only for well trained people and mountaineers only! A drive from Zillertal across the nearby Gerlos Alpenstrasse is recommended! But watch the free roaming cows, which may appear on the road at any given time!

Breakfast and dinner were included was fun for one night. I liked the large room with separate toilet room. lots of windows. Local staff could speak English, Croatian, Romanian, German. Walking distance from the water falls. Free entry to the waterfall park with your hotel registration document in hand. Close to a Spar grocery store and a nice coffee/bar. There is a movie theater 10 min drive away. The welcome book in the room was in German and English and included local tourist information.
The owners input and general friendliness was special in a family run hotel where it is obvious a lot of personal input has made this place a little bit more than the average.
Rooms are modern and lots of wood in this Alpine area making for a cosy experience.
Food and service were all we could ask for and the most beautiful Apple Strudel one could wish to eat.
From the check in with a glass of welcome bubbles it was a terrific stay.
Many many good things. Very friendly at the reception. Very nice to have a terrace with excellent views. The included "summer card" is a great idea because you get free access to around 60 things, including Krimml Waterfalls and Grossglockner scenic road.
Excellent hotel with sensational food. Very nice service. Pet friendly hotel. Ski bus stop in front of the hotel. Close to the waterfalls. Very clean in the rooms. Nice SPA zone.
