First and foremost, we were welcomed by the lovely Olga (receptionist) who was highly attentive and detail oriented. She made us feel like VIP guests! She showed us around the property and then to our room. Everything was pristine and serene. We felt right at home immediately!

We loved everything in this wonderful hotel! It felt like heaven! There is a lushious garden with a space to sit and read your book. I can only advice to visit Key West, it has everything you need, nice beaches to relax, enternaining areas such as Duval Street, with nice restaurants and night life if that's what you're looking for, and Mallory Square. There are also different places to visit such as Hemingway House, Little white house.
We really enjoyed taking the seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. We were there for 5 nights and never came anyone who appears to be put out by helping us. It is so unusual to find such happy and helpful people so willing to help. What a refreshing attitude.

Key West is one of a kind.
Key West is one of a kind. It is an historic city full of charm. It is a very eclectic city. Bring an open mind. There are tons of activities. Great Bars, Restaurants and Water Activities. Know that it is crowded and I think best for adults. Top city for bachelor and bachelorettes parties. Do not expect beaches.. there are a few but it is not Miami Beach. (If you are into beaches go to the mainland). Great music.. Green Parrot#1 Sloppy Joes, Hogs Breath, Smokin Tuna, Coffee Butler Amphitheater, Key West Theater, Red Barn theater.... and many more. Be prepared to walk. A car is useless..and parking is expensive$$$ If you don't like to walk rent a bike or scooter. Go out on the water.. sunset sail? Fishing, Diving, Snorkel or Sandbar. I believe a long weekend.. (4 days) is perfect! After that you may need to detox!
Everything! The staff at check-in was so friendly and helpful orienting me to the property and surrounding areas. They gave me a map and told me general info about Duvall Street nearby. With their helpful info I was able to get around and see all the sights I wanted. The hotel has free parking, which was a factor in selecting it, but it got even better. At check-out, staff told me I could still keep my car at the hotel for 2-3 hours afterward. Paid parking is basically everywhere in Key West so this was an exceptional bonus!
The place is a great Oas in the center of Key West, walking distance to all the sights and restaurants.
The pool is amazing and the staff is world class, they helped us with everything and we felt very welcomed with our 14 month old baby! They all made sure that we had the best possible stay! Also appreciated was the happy hour at 5!
Parking garage was also a bonus!
Thanks Truman Hotel & Staff! We will be back someday
Great hotel with large room. Location is quite far out of the centre of Key West but there is a shuttle bus to take you in and bring you back. Lovely pool and very close to the oceanfront. Some planes overhead due to proximity to airport but didn't bother us and didn't hear them overnight. A great base to explore Key West.
The hotel is in an excellent location right in the center, but still on the quiet side. The courtyard pool is small but nice. Parking was included in the room, but it is located three blocks away (better than nothing, Key West parking spaces are hard to come by). The room was clean and spacious enough.
