The property was exceptionally quiet and clean. Great value for the price, the resort fees seem a bit much until you understand what is included with that fee(round trip shuttle to/from downtown, 2 free non-alcoholic drinks per day per room, etc). Loved the outdoor seating areas, great spot for morning coffee. The staff was super helpful when my flight was cancelled, booked me for another night at a reasonable rate.

Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.
There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.
Key West International Airport is a mere 4 miles from Duval Street, the heart of downtown and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sights. With accommodations ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!
We go every year or two. 3 nights is good for us. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Sunsets are wonderful. Not too expensive and highly recommend riding bikes to explore the Island. Hemingway House and Butterfly 🦋 Conservatory are must see. Fort Zachary Taylor Park is sort of a hidden treasure. If you can find it, the sunsets are beautiful and much less crowded than Mallory Square. The beach is beautiful too. If driving, stop at the tourist information center in Key Largo and get piles of great coupons for food, drinks and excursions. Good values and info there.

It’s a great “tourist” spot.
It’s a great “tourist” spot. Very walkable but if you can’t walk there is a free bus loop that you can take. You can get off at any of their stops and get back on at any stop. It’s usually crowded sidewalks. Be prepared for more wind than you expect. We have been here in different seasons and you should plan on a jacket, sweater or sweatshirt at night. It is very LGBTQ friendly and you will see that openly. Food was amazing at all the places we ate at. It is pricey. Be prepared to see lots of people drinking at any hour. You could call this a “party destination “ but you can still have great fun if you aren’t a “party” person.

Loved Hemingway’s house and the cats!
Loved Hemingway’s house and the cats! Also the harbour area, Mallory Square, the gorgeous sunsets, and Sloppy Joe’s. The whole place has such a laid-back, relaxed vibe, and it also felt really safe. Really loved Key West.

WOW! It's a city that really packs a punch.
WOW! It's a city that really packs a punch. I cannot believe it took me so long to get here, but my bucket list checked! Our hotel was The Southwinds Motel, and the location was great. It is easy to walk to Duvall Street and close to other attractions and restaurants. Southernmost point photo done, Truman's Little White House check, Views from atop the lighthouse-stunning, Hemmingway's House and Museum with polydactyls-complete, the lobster roll at the Lobster Shack-delicious. We didn't pub crawl-which is what Key West is known for with Sloppy Joe's and the Green Parrot, but we drove by them several times. The Maritime Shopping Center was disappointing due to our expectations of shopping and some boutiques being closed, but the ice cream shops' treats and flavors were exceptional. We also dined at Latitudes, a great experience, and Duffy's, which was also delicious. If you want a thrill, visit the Dry Tortugas National Park via SeaPlane Adventures-Britt, our pilot was excellent, and our day there was a lifetime trip.

Our very first time in Key West and we loved it!
Our very first time in Key West and we loved it! People are so friendly and you can walk to most all the places! We took a schooner Appledore day sail and Pablo, Adam and Sean were great hosts on the ship. The comedy club was also a fun place to go, the shipwreck museum was very interesting, Custom House, Truman House, Hemingway,Mallory Square for sunsets and all the bars and restaurants. For a nice dinner go to The Hot Tin Roof. We did all the tourist things and I must say Mallory Square for sunsets was beautiful and fun. If you never been to Key West it is a wonderful place to check out.

I am a frequent visitor to Key West and have always had a relaxing time. Whether it's a walk along the Wharf, visiting one of the numerous art galleries and shops, or just sitting at an outdoor restaurant or cafe and people-watching, there is always something to enjoy. And what visit to Key West would be complete without joining other revelers in celebrating the magnificent sunsets? Highly recommended!

Good air conditioning. Nice big fairly comfortable bed although it was very high up! (I’m 5’3 and had to jump up lol). Balcony is a nice place to sit looking into the small but stunning garden and pool. Pool towels are available at no extra cost. Good location close to most things in key west. Clean property which seems hard to come by!
Also got free parking, car park is situated on a separate road but is only a few minutes walk away from the hotel.
Lovely hotel in a great location to explore Key West. The room is up to modern standards and has comfortable beds. Pool area is nice and clean. Great breakfast with enough choices for everyone if you don’t expect a full continental breakfast.
beautiful old school house in perfect condition. and the staff were so friendly and the price was so much cheaper than anywhere else in key west. highly recommend. oh and the location is absolutely perfect
We only slept here one night. Quite an expensive hotel, but that's Key West. Close to many restaurants, about half an hour's walk to the center. Possibility to rent bicycles (for a fee).
