The people have worked really hard to turn their city around and the social transformation is worth witnessing. I went to Communa 13, several other neighbourhoods and Guatape. I enjoyed my tours, meeting friends and getting to know the city.

The city is beautiful, their people are very kind and well educated they all try to make a great impression. We ate a lot of good food, by the place we stayed there is a restaurant call Tal Cual y Ceviche, OMG!!! the food was impressive.
It was easy to move around, the Ubers are cheap, we did the train and also the cable car.
When visiting you must go to La Comuna 13 and also book a tour to Guatapé.

Of course every country has it's concerns; however, Medellin was incredibly safe during our visit. I have never been to a country so clean, and comfortable. People went out of their way to speak, and make you comfortable. Medellin stole my heart, I would love to live there, better than any large city in the USA, especially the people.
Saw a situation with autos which would have resulted in fist fight in the USA, instead parties smiled and moved on. Incredible people!

With the taxi very easy to get around.
For seniors like use. Trip with the bus to several pueblos and atractions like San Roque, Santa Fe de Antoquia, El Penol, Quatape,

The people are nice , the climate is also nice. They have a variety of shops and I recommend visiting Comuna13. Next we wil visit Guatape and Cafeteros. Also recommend Salud Sin Fronteras touragency, they helped us many times with transfer airport-hotel-airport (saludsinfronteras.com). Good experience with them since 2018.

*Front desk staff...all fluently speaking English...thats a big plus...we stayed in 4 hotels in Colombia in 19 days-time and with no doubt, the Best customer service received.
They helped us with booking 2 tours, other recommendations, security opens and closes the entrance door for you, helped carrying my luggage after check out.
* The room was very nice and well decorated...lots of details!!! Very cosey!

The hotel is fantastic with an unbeatable location, in the heart of El Poblado and 10 min walk to Provenza. The service from all of the staff is exemplary in particular Pablo in the roof top bar and breakfast area who always made me feel welcome every single time. Sure sound proofing isn’t the greatest between rooms HOWEVER it is only a minor disruption - especially as you’re in Medellin, who wants to be sitting in their room all the time anyway!!! Highly recommended and I will stay again.
Wonderful atmosphere to the hotel with authentic Colombian interior. Felt like a breath of fresh air from the bustling nearby El Poblado. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the centre but far enough to be quiet at night.
The breakfast was delicious and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
Overall would highly recommend a stay here.
