The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly.
All staff smiled a lot and appeared to enjoy working at this hotel. They all greeted us with a good morning and made us feel welcome.
The hotel rooms were large with a very large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge, with a bath and walk in shower. The hotel was exceptionally clean.
Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was very good value for both the food and drinks.
Breakfast was excellent. Probably the best quality breakfast we've had in a Spanish hotel. There was a varied choice from smoked salmon to serano ham. Freshly squeezed orange juice (use machine to make your own) and also freshly prepared omeletes made to order. Selection of lovely breads and pastry. Even local honey from Tenerife.
We would highly recommend this hotel for quality, service and value for money.
We will certainly return.

The host was absolutely brilliant. The location, the staff, the facilities, the attention to detail, it was all faultless. In addition it was my husband’s birthday and they had strawberries and Prosecco left in our room with their compliments

It's such a pleasure to stay at a hotel where the staff seem happy. I think that when people are treated well by their manager and by customers then the atmosphere of a place is lovely. I don't often feel this when I stay in hotels but I did at The Colon Rambla. Thank you all for the happy memories.

Santa Cruz is amazing , closet to the port , bustling city, nice restaurants and very close to Bus Terminal and nice beaches few kms away however where we stayed in Tenerife Calle de Santa Rosalia ,it was on the quieter side we had to travel quiet a lot 1 hour or more via bus to get to the place where you can party or have all the activities booked at the South . The commute is difficult unless you have a car, its easier to stay in the south and plan all activities as staying at the north it was very difficult for us to plan our activities , we ended up spending so many hours just commuting . May be we should have planned better but always a next time .

Santa Cruz is awesome and so is its people, The Canaries.
Santa Cruz is awesome and so is its people, The Canaries. They are always open for conversing, they're always trying to help with directions, advice...They are such a nice people!!!! Only one piece of advice if you're driving in the island. Parking is a problem, the spaces are tight.

It is port city. Not touristic.
It is port city. Not touristic. Bad moment - was no beach near and everywhere in cafes and restaurants no wifi internet. no printed paper menu, it is needed to be scan by QR code with special application in mobile phone which need internet connection. Why no wifi? When in all other cities in Spain this option is available.

It's a very interesting and nice city.
It's a very interesting and nice city. People are very kind and pleasant. There are not as many tourists as in the south of the island. Living in a local neighborhood outside the center was very nice to interact with local people. There are many pleasant cafes and restaurants. There is also a great urban transport system of trams and buses. It is also a beautifully green city with many parks.

We have only ever visited during carnival which is extremely full-on everyday, so don't expect to feel rested after a holiday during that period. But do expect to feel exhilarated by the noise, music, costumes, fancy dress and joy.
I think it would be a lovely place to stay outside of carnival as a city break in dependable warm weather.
Its an easy bus trip to Playa de las Teresitas, and there are many efficient bus routes to other regions of the island. If you wanted to go off the beaten track car hire would be useful. Few if any organised trips start from Santa Cruz, for example, trips Mount Tiede tend to originate from the southern resorts.
Much of the centre is pedestrianised. Its a city for locals so don't expect all menus to be translated. Food orientated towards local taste also, which is excellent IMO.
Lots of good shops in the centre.
No great permanent cultural highlights, although I understand the Tenerife Orchestra is one of the best in Spain.

Really nice city hotel with great outdoor pool & park surrounding. The free gym is also really nice and spacious. The spa (with extra entrance fee) is really nice and offers really good treatments, but the sauna inside is really small & not new. The hotel beds are really good. Definitely can recommend the breakfast (to check if included/extra paid), which offers everything - fresh and tasty. The hotel is located close to a nice park and close by to the center of Santa Cruz.
The hotel's location in Santa Cruz is excellent, it's right on the main pedestrian area of the city. I found the bed comfortable and, unlike the rest of the room, the bed sheets were clean. Temperature in the room was perfect during my stay in February but there is no air conditioning so I imagine it'll get hot in the summer. The room was dated but functional. There were two sockets available, and two that were taken by the TV and the (noisy) fridge.
This hotel is in a fabulous location to get around central Santa Cruz. The room was very clean, comfortable and the Standard room is reasonable in size. Perfect for a long weekend. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks all.
The bed was nice and firm, which was wonderful for my back. Although it was quite central, it was quiet in my room. The hotel is near a bus stop which you can use to get to Intercambiador Santa Cruz very easily, making airport connections simple.
everything good. the stay went pretty smooth. cental, about 15 min walk you could reach the center of Santa Cruz… easy to move around even without public transport. the hotel was clean and nice, staff was very polite and available.
