This holy city is located in western Saudi Arabia and is also known as Makkah. Millions of Muslims make a pilgrimage here, as the pilgrimage is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The Prophet Muhammad was born here, and it is a sacred place for Muslims and the birthplace of Islam.
Non-muslims are not permitted into Mecca and the government of Saudi Arabia issues special visas for people making the pilgrimage. Most people coming to the Mecca will enter via the Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport and Jeddah is the gateway to the city.
The Hajj has a fairly set itinerary including a visit to the Sacred Mosque, al-Masjid al-Haram, built around the Kaaba.
Mecca contains many restaurants with varied cuisine and tea shops are available for light refreshments such as traditional tea and biscuits. There are also many juice stands for a little refreshment amid the heat.
Ranging from luxury hotels to basic accommodation, Booking.com offers over 80 hotels for your time in Mecca.

The city’s infrastructure is well-developed, catering to pilgrims with hotels, transport, and essential services. However, it can get extremely crowded, particularly during Hajj season. Overall, Makkah is a place of immense blessings, reflection, and spiritual renewal, making it a must-visit for every Muslim.

The downside of this hotel is that it is quite far, around ten kilometers away, and requires two bus transfers. First, you take a bus from the hotel to a bus station, and from there, the Makkah buses will take you to Mecca. After that, you need to walk about a kilometer to reach the mosque. This journey takes a lot of time and energy. However, if you leave in the morning and return in the evening, it works well. But if you plan to return after every prayer, it becomes exhausting and almost impossible.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mövenpick, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The hospitality provided by Abdul Majed and Fahad exceeded all my expectations. They were courteous, polite, and incredibly attentive, making every aspect of my stay smooth and enjoyable.
I was traveling for Umrah with a colleague, and they ensured that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. Their warmth and professionalism truly stood out, and I left feeling both happy and satisfied.
Without a doubt, Mövenpick will always be my first choice, thanks to the exceptional service and dedication of their staff. Highly recommended!

It is a lovely city on the mountains with so many people visiting it round the year. The Holy Kaaba, the birth place of Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and the resting place of Maa Khadija are some of the most important sites located here.

Everything. The location not crowded compare the hotel near haram.
The staff- friendly and helpful. Even the bus driver also very helpful and help us with the baby stroller. It was so nice of him.
The room - very spacious and comfortable. It's worth the money.
The shuttle bus - always in front of the hotel. No need to wait long. Very efficient even from haram to hotel.
Easy to get groceries. It's beside the hotel only
This was the only hotel with reasonable price, at walking distance from Haram. All other hotels near Haram had very very high and unrealistic prices. In Ramadan.
Hotel staff was very nice and very polite, brothers from Sudan. But no English at all.
Hotel was clean. But rooms are small.
For young people it's easy walk.
At this price, it was very nice hotel.
Alhumdulilah...one of the best hotel ..All facilities are excellent...rooms are very spacious and clean and the staff members are very polite...when ever you call for house keeping or any service they are in a minute. Its near haram but little walkable to bus after coming from haram.
I will again come to Kiswah hotel
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located near Haram, which was a huge plus. The only minor issue was that the shower area was a bit small, but it didn’t detract much from the overall experience. A good choice for a comfortable and clean stay!
I liked all staff who are professional and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful and near Haram. The breakfast is great. All facilities are great but not suitable for old or in wheel chairs coming for Omra.
