Lovely staff very friendly and very helpful, the room was excellent a good size and very clean. Breakfast was lovely a great choice of meals and very friendly staff. Only stayed for one evening meal it did take a little long to get to us but the restaurant was jam packed and the meal itself was very well presented and tasted great

This hotel is a local hidden gem in Snowdonia, I would fully recommend visiting when in the local area. Mike and Carrie are superb hosts, fully accommodating and their journey is amazing. The Gorge down the river is truly magical and worth the walk. Rooms are spacious and having a full suite is even better with all new facilities. looking forward to the summer and seeing the progress on the rear of the building. fully deserved rating and will be visiting again.

Highly recommend staying here.
Highly recommend staying here.
Staff were very helpful - we had to check-in to our room late and they were very accommodating in arranging this for us. The room was ideal for our needs - 4 of us. Bathrooms were shared - these were lovely, very modern. There was also a sink in our room. Bedsheets/linen provided. The place was very clean. There was a shared kitchen and lounge area, which was very comfy, with a variety of games and books. Ample, free, parking on the property. We stayed here prior to climbing Snowdon and the location was great for this - only a short drive away. Exceptionally good, especially for the price!

The location set in the most peaceful and beautiful landscape. Fabulous style hostel ideal for walkers on a stop over or for those travelling to other destinations by car where there is plenty of parking space in the hostel grounds. Clean and comfortable throughout with a shared kitchen and common room. Roughly 15-20 minutes walk from Ponty- Pant rail station..

No hot water in my dad's bedroom. No heating or wifi.
No hot water in my dad's bedroom. No heating or wifi. Beds were dirty. Cudnt cook food there.
Waste of money.
Dirty mattresses as seen in pictures. Our room was dirty also the shower had hairs in it!!
the property is located on a main road but it's very easy to miss the entrance.
It's an old property. externally it is not attractive at all as it looks rather old and dated.
With previous experience staying in similar external appearance property in North Wales, it was a surprise to see the room looked cleaner and tidy, though it has a stuffy smell to it.
Good value for the area.
Super peaceful location, where we woke to the tuneful strains of willow warblers, blackbirds and more.
A very well-equipped and spacious cottage for the two of us.
Not far to many top hiking trails and we hiked some directly from the house.
We recommend the excellent nearby restaurant Ty Gwyn, on the way to Betws-y-Coed.
We had a good 3 nights stay at Elen’s castle in Snowdonia
Just a 10 minute drive from Betws-y-coed city centre, this is a good choice for a quiet stay.
Helen was on time with the delicious English breakfast spread and the rooms were just the right size for a couple.
Highly recommend.
Looked a bit like a haunted mansion when we arrived, but we’re made to feel totally at home, hotel owner made us drinks and was incredibly welcoming and took us to a recently renovated suite of rooms with direct access to gardens and dog friendly - amazing!
