The family room was spacious. The hosts were phenomenal. We enjoyed their recommendations and chatting about all things wales. We loved the yard for our children to play and their dogs Lola and visiting dog Freddy!
Set at the edge of Betws-y-Coed, amid the National Park, this hotel with leisure center and indoor pool is ideal for the North Wales Coast, Snowdonia and the countryside.

Lodges at the rear of the property are great.
Can not comment on the hotel rooms as not stayed in them.
This multi-award-winning hotel is a centuries-old traveler's inn located in Betws-y-Coed, within the Snowdonia National Park. The Ty Gwyn Hotel has exposed beam ceilings and beautiful bedrooms.

This hotel is a local hidden gem in Snowdonia, I would fully recommend visiting when in the local area. Mike and Carrie are superb hosts, fully accommodating and their journey is amazing. The Gorge down the river is truly magical and worth the walk. Rooms are spacious and having a full suite is even better with all new facilities. looking forward to the summer and seeing the progress on the rear of the building. fully deserved rating and will be visiting again.

Highly recommend staying here.
Highly recommend staying here.
Staff were very helpful - we had to check-in to our room late and they were very accommodating in arranging this for us. The room was ideal for our needs - 4 of us. Bathrooms were shared - these were lovely, very modern. There was also a sink in our room. Bedsheets/linen provided. The place was very clean. There was a shared kitchen and lounge area, which was very comfy, with a variety of games and books. Ample, free, parking on the property. We stayed here prior to climbing Snowdon and the location was great for this - only a short drive away. Exceptionally good, especially for the price!

The location set in the most peaceful and beautiful landscape. Fabulous style hostel ideal for walkers on a stop over or for those travelling to other destinations by car where there is plenty of parking space in the hostel grounds. Clean and comfortable throughout with a shared kitchen and common room. Roughly 15-20 minutes walk from Ponty- Pant rail station..

It was warm and completely private, exactly what we wanted for our first visit to Snowdonia (and Wales for that matter).
We are from Scotland and it reminded us of the quietness of the Highlands. Beautiful place and lovely thoughtful owners.
Also, parking was excellent, large space within the property which felt great after the suspenseful drive up the narrow road.
What an absolute gem find this hotel was.......The Family Suite was finished to a very high standard and the owners were very helpful in offering local knowledge of places to visit and places to eat and they make the most amazing coffee. The location was superb as it was right in the middle of everything we we looking to visit. Lola the Collie was a joy too.
It had everything to make it a home from home and the hosts even provided bread & milk on arrival. Ty Nain was comfortable, warm and in a good location to explore all round Snowdonia and North Wales.
The staff were friendly. The location is great with beautiful scenery, we found lovely restaurants in Betws-y-Coed which is only a 10 minute drive away.
