Our third visit and again it didn't disappoint. Great friendly staff offering excellent service, accommodation, and food. Set along the coast from Brodick and a great base for all travellers, whether in a car, on foot, or a bike. Dog friendly, too, with a fantastic bear garden. I would highly recommend it.
The owners are on an improvement journey, and during the last twelve months, they have replaced all the windows and erected a grand fence around the beer garden - A credit to their commitment which is still ongoing with more to come 👏
The Lamlash Bay Hotel is on the Isle of Arran, 60 metres from the beach. It offers panoramic views over Lamlash Bay, rooms with free Wi-Fi and an Italian restaurant.

This is one of the more secure dog friendly holiday rentals I've been to. Mostly fenced and any unfenced parts separated from road by burn and quite steep embankment on roadside.
Loved disconnecting from Internet and TV for a couple of days and the proximity to Glen Sannox and path to Sannox Bay right across the road.
Cabin was well equipped and would have loved to make better use of the great decking area with BBQ, fire pit and hot tub (all without worrying about the dog wandering off!) however midges and weather got the better of us at times.
Hope to return!

First of all I love boarding the vessel 🚢 in Ardrossan and finding a good seat in the cafeteria where you can buy the best chips I have ever tasted. It is a pleasant sail and I love Brodick from the moment it comes into view on the ferry. Once there there are various buses 🚌 going to lovely villages around the island. Most have places to buy souvenirs or stop for a drink or a meal . We usually take the car over. It is reasonably priced on the ferry and gives you independence. There are lots of lovely places to paddle or swim safely. Later you can head back to your accommodation and relax before dinner. If staying in Brodick the Ormadale is a pleasant place to stay. However if you want a good dinner then this is a good choice. Well cooked food at reasonable prices. Dogs and well behaved kids welcome!! Ferries usually run on time. However it is best to check with the ferry operator for this. Whether you’re going for a day trip, walking, swimming, hiring a bike or simply watching the world go by you will love it. If planning a longer stay try to book in advance as reasonably priced accommodation becomes booked up quickly but well worth it.

Very close to ferry port.
Very close to ferry port. Excellent area for most holiday makers. Plenty of clean beaches with clear water, grassy picnic areas for young families. Hill walking, Brodick Castle and gardens an absolute must see for everyone. Lovely scenic roads with plenty of passing places.

The town is small and really only has one place to have dinner...The Douglas Hotel. There is a take-away pizza place which is very popular but has limited capacity . The castle is a couple of miles from town and busses are infrequent. Most places could be reached easily by car but not on foot.

We had dinner at the resort overlooking the hills.
We had dinner at the resort overlooking the hills. Delicious eggs Benedict energized us for a castle tour the next morn. We stopped at Arrans' infused botanical shop, skipping stones and sipping cocktails before heading to the south coast beach. Headed back at sunset to catch the last Ferry home to mainland. Unable to tie photos to this review unfortunately 😕
The Belvedere is in a good location, only a short walk or drive from the ferry terminal, perched above the bay with lovely sea views. It is a short walk to a co-op and places to eat and drink, which once you venture further afield on arran become few and far between. I must add that although a short walk, by nature of its position it does involve a gradient. The accomodation itself, was of a good B&b standard, we had a nice size room with a sea view. We would happily stay again.
Friendly, helpful, nothing was any trouble.
Hotel was pristine and beautifully decorated. Great view from the bedroom.
Lovely little touches like homemade cake in the afternoon.
Continental breakfast tray was absolutely delicious, Great selection of homemade produce,
Great location, Within walking distance to restaurants cafes and the ferry terminal,
Short drive to Brodick castle
The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly, courteous and efficient. The executive room was large, well furnished and comfortable. The food at breakfast and dinner was of a high standard and very enjoyable. Location close to ferry terminal, handy for shops and activities in Brodick and also the perimeter road for access to all other parts of Arran.
The house was in an ideal, quiet position just minutes from the ferry. The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen was ideal for us. Arran is a spectacular island with lots to do and see. We'll definitely be back!
