As regular cyclists in our later years, we cycled the whole of Arran in 2 days. Weather forecast was not good, but the sun shone for most of the time as Arran has a micro-climate all of its own. We loved riding on mostly traffic free roads in splendid scenery. You do need to remember, that other than Brodick, not many places to stop for refreshments

Brodick is a lovely wee town, sitting very picturesque by the water. More shops than expected which was a bonus. A decent size Coop for any provisions needed. And several good pubs and restaurants for eating. A farm shop (vending machine) with fabulous fresh local produce, including a milk dispenser. And a lovely cafe for breakfast.
A lovely walk by the water, and watching the ferries coming in and out.

The location of the Ormidale is close to transport links, and is very close to Brodick Main St as well, so getting around is a breeze. The room, hotel, and bar areas are all very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is served daily, and there are options available for various dietary needs. The bar area also serves food, so after a long day exploring, it was nice to have delicious food right downstairs.
The location is right next to the beach and a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal making it easy to get about without a car. The beds were exceptionally comfy and the kitchen was great for self catering. The staff were really friendly and helpful!
Wow….one of the cosiest, coolest and yet traditional hotels we have stayed in. The staff were exceptionally friendly and yet so professional. The location in Brodick is ideal for exploring Arran. We cannot wait to return to an absolute gem.
