Wonderful, World Heritage-listed Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the River Avon overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-levelled Pulteney Weir and Grade I-listed Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options are the Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and high street stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath accommodation, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Bath is a fascinating city with so much history and if you are a fan of Jane Austin it is the place to come. The architecture is beautiful and I love that any new buildings are done in a sympathetic way. There is also some quaint little tea shops when you need some refreshments.

The Roman baths are a highlight in the centre of town.
The Roman baths are a highlight in the centre of town. Really excellent audio tour handsets as part of the admission. Finish it with cream tea at the pump rooms if you can. Take in the beautiful architecture and history walking round the city and take a break in a pub (or two).

Bath is a great city.
Bath is a great city. Be aware when driving a car of the emission zone - don’t forget to pay online if you enter the zone. Parking in the centre of Bath is expensive and the amount you pay depends on your vehicle’s emission.

Beautiful city!
Beautiful city! A must see if you want to experience England at its finest. Lots of little boutique shops and eateries to explore, not to mention all the period buildings and history spots etc. Great connections into Bristol too!

The city is absolutely beautiful.
The city is absolutely beautiful. We only stayed for a night but we wished we could stay for longer. Definitely recommend if you can just walking the city - there are so many beautiful sights to see in bus. Really straightforward to get from the airport to the city. Thermae spa is worth a visit but recommend going during the day so as to see the view from the rooftop pool. The number 1 crescent museum was our favourite part of the trip so interesting!

Bath has a wide range of activities for all visitors. Great food choices, beautiful architecture to enjoy and perfect to walk everywhere. There’s plenty of history to discover and a variety of venues to do this. We loved Cafe Lucca for food and Walcot House for drinks.

Couldn't ask for better, everything was first class from the room to the staff to the hotel and facilities.
My partner had her 40th Birthday 🎂 🥳 and they gave us two birthday cakes, all the staff were polite curtious and approachable. Everywhere was clean and well presented and the food was of a high standard 👌 it was close to a lovely canal walk on one side and the city centre with roman baths and cathedral on the other side with an amazing choice of shops cafe's and restaurants atmosphere was amazing. 5star stay all the way.
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast room, good choice of food. A great location and parking was available at the hotel. We arrived early but could leave the car at the hotel and leave our luggage whilst we walked into Bath city centre. It was only 10 minutes to the shops and restaurants of Bath.
The bar area was nice, I liked the breakfast although there were very limited vegan options. I just had beans on toast. The room was pretty good and spacious. Location to Bath city centre is very good and room was pretty cheap for the dates.
Excellent breakfast with choices that might put many 5 star Hotels in their place.
Confortable beds and the parking space right at the location.
Easy walking distance to Bath city centre.
It was a lovely, nice and quite hotel with very kind people doing everything to make our stay comfortable. It is situated very near Bath. Within 15 minutes we were in the city centre.
