Wonderful, World Heritage site Bath is an impressive mix of Georgian architecture and Roman legacy. Its most famous landmark is the fantastic, natural hot spring Roman Baths. Although everything above the pillar bases is from a later period, you still get an idea of its appearance in Roman times. Sadly you can’t bathe here, but across the street the rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa offers views of Bath Abbey and the surrounding hills.
Check out the stained-glass windows in the abbey, England’s last remaining Gothic church. Its square houses Pump Rooms dispensing hot spring water from the Roman baths.
Just behind, the Parade Gardens by the Avon River overlook Bath Rugby Club, the multi-level Pulteney Weir and registered historic Pulteney Bridge, lined with shops. Other Bath shopping options include Southgate Shopping Centre, the bohemian Walcot Street market, and brand-name stores on Milsom and George streets.
North is The Circus, a circular square lined with Georgian townhouses, only marginally less impressive than the Royal Crescent down the road. You can now visit number 1 Royal Crescent, restored to its 18th-century glory.
Before heading to Bristol Airport from your Bath hotel, take time to try the famous Sally Lunn Bun and stop at the pleasant pubs along the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The buildings are fantastic and the town is thriving.

Attractions like the Roman Baths and the Cathedral are very expensive. Visiting Bath leaves one with the feeling of being exploited.
Driving in Bath is a nightmare with roadworks and traffic lights everywhere and the clean air charging is excessive. It proved difficult and costly to take someone who cannot easily negotiate the walk to the supermarket.

Midweek break before Christmas, so lovely festive feel.
Midweek break before Christmas, so lovely festive feel. Beautiful buildings, and everything in walking distance, we did all in 2 days. Plenty of bars, restaurants & tea shops. Beautiful cathedral and Roman baths all situated in centre, everything close at hand. Nice shopping area, and fun to ramble through the lanes, lots of character little shops. What's not to like about Bath!

This was our first visit to Bath - what a beautiful place.
This was our first visit to Bath - what a beautiful place. We started our trip with 2.5 hour walking tour led by Richard M. Our guide was interesting and very knowledgeable - an excellent start and it was free! We also visited the abbey and the Roman baths which were both fascinating. A visit to the Everyman cinema was amazing - what a wonderful cinema experience. We had lovely cocktails at the Hideout - served by two very friendly and knowledgeable waiters. A beautiful, friendly city, with so much to see and do.

We were in Bath over the last weekend of the Christmas Market. A little crowded, to be expected, but we really enjoyed our time. We found a little place by the Royal Crescent called Circus. I would really recommend.

Easily walkable city - plenty to see for a three day trip. Very much enjoyed the Roman Baths and after that took out own bath and the wonderfully modern Thermae Baths. Ate at Robun, very nice but it was not very warm, the Marlbourough Tavern, great Sunday roast and Banana Tree, delicious curry.

There is always something new to discover in Bath when visiting family. The tourist attractions are great for first time visitors, the abbey is excellent particularly if they are holding an event. Great food. ...check out Juno's and The Raven - very different atmospheres but both serve excellent food.

This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at so far. It is in an old 18th century building but was recently renovated. The decour, the choice of colours (loved the royal blue with white), the finishing, the attention to detail - everything was superb. Our room faced the inner garden that added to the beauty of the place. The bed was super comfortable, there was also slippers and robes for the guests. The staff was very nice, helpful and responsive. When I am in Bath again, I will definitelystay in Kennard again!
Excellent customer service from all reception staff and members of staff at breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, fab selection, and lovely atmosphere.
The room was comfortable, spacious, relaxing, and quiet.
