The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Tokyo Shiodome, hotel in Tokyo

Conveniently situated within a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi and Shiodome stations, The Royal Park Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is modern and stylish accommodation.

The location is perfect for me. Train stations are so accessible, being the Oedo line, practically next to the hotel, Yurikamome line for those wanting to visit Odaiba, Tokyo Big Sight, Toyosu and such, plus the JR Shimbashi which has many converging lines making travel convenient Family Mart just downstairs is a huge convenience too There are restaurants in and next to the hotel as well Shimbashi station area has many food options in and about the station too The hotel is lovely, clean and the best I have experienced in Tokyo. Facilities are very good. Loved the quiet and peace in the evenings. View from my room facing the river and park is awesome, nice way to end a day Staff from check in to concierge is amazing. Overall service rendered by the attentive and friendly staff is truly incredible Very efficient, forthcoming and friendly staff, especially the girls from Concierge, Nakamura and Han who never fail to make my stay great. Rest assured you will be assisted all the way from check in to check out Housekeeping is very efficient Rooms are spacious and clean Beds and pillows are very comfortable The TV has quite a few channels, some in English as well Wifi strength is strong n easy to connect Bathroom is large enough, well lit and well equipped too. Having wine glasses, plates, cutlery together with the usual coffee mugs and tea cups are so helpful Microwave and vending machines on 26th floor is a great feature too Laundry rooms equipped with washers n dryers are a plus as well Breakfast quality is good but variety isn’t that great. Menu doesn’t change much too Service is great though Have been to this hotel twice before this and have never left not wanting to return.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

We were impressed with the Japanese technology especially the transport infrastructure. The food experience was great if not the best in the world! Tokyo is an amazing place! It’s enormous.

Tokyo is an amazing place! It’s enormous. Yet we managed it to walk, take the train and metro. Bring cash!!!! Or debit card for ATM. Many places will take cash only. especially Meteo and train!!! Not many banks or ATMs. 7-11 is always just around the corner with its ATM. Roam the city and go explore. It’s safe everywhere! People in Japan speak very limited English. Navigating the trains and metro is a challenge. It’s simply enormous!!! But functional, clean and safe. People are friendly and mostly kind. Eat the food. Bonus were amazing pastries and coffee shops. Unexpected! Japanese restrooms are amazing! Everywhere! Clean clean clean. The facilities in the US feel like a third world country now. Yes! Go and have fun in Japan :)

SOOO much to see, it's hard to choose where to go and what to do. Buy a Pasmo subway pass. It makes getting all around town so easy. And then just keep walking and eating your way through town. Shop for deals, especially on food. And don't hesitate to ask for help or directions. People will kindly help you and if you can't communicate easily, Google translate will be the trick!

Tokyo is a city that seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors. From its futuristic skyscrapers in Shinjuku and Shibuya to the historic temples of Asakusa and Meiji Shrine, the city caters to every kind of traveler. One of Tokyo’s biggest strengths is its efficiency and cleanliness. The public transport system, especially the trains and subways, is one of the best in the world—punctual, well-connected, and easy to navigate even for first-time visitors.

Location is very good! You have access to two nearby lines, JR chuo-sobu, and the Oedo subway. JR chuo-sobu easily connects to Akihabara and Shinjuku . For the hotel itself the spa was good and spacious. During the stay, even at 6am there were already a few people (5++) in the spa. There is also a Lawson's convenient store with a good selection food and snacks, and also hot snacks (friend chicken) located inside the hotel on level 2.
