Carefully chosen staff. spectacular food 9 course suppers. Had to ask for 1/2 portions after 1st night to get through it. Car would help to get to the beach. Google translate definitely helped.

Peaceful, charming, no frills & quiet atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. The other reviews were accurate that the breakfast is amazing and adds great value to the experience. Would be happy to stay again.

Offering a garden and garden view, 435 is set in Ishigaki Island, 4.5 km from Rhizophoraceae Plant Community of Fukidogawa River and 11 km from Sangosho no Umi Kara. Shizuka was the most amazing host! She greeted us kindly every day, and she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome on the island. She even prepared local treats for us every day! She gave so many recommendations! The space is very quaint. The semi outdoor shower and kitchen are wonderful. We slept wonderfully listening to the nature sounds. Highly recommend this spot!!!

Situated 200 metres from Aharen Beach, 400 metres from Hijuishi Beach and 2 km from Tokashiku Beach, kamekamehouse offers accommodation set in Tokashiki. Our stay at the kamekamehouse exceeded our expectations in the most positive way. The staff picked us from the port and drop us off to the port for our final destination, something we were not expecting. The breakfast and the okinawa style dinner were amazing and homemade by the owner, making the experience even more delightful and delicious. We stayed in a japanese style room. The room was spacious, clean and provided us of all the amenities needed for our stay. The staff was amazing and was always ready to help us with whatever we needed. Furthermore, the location to the beach was so close. Also, you are greeted with Mugi, the owner's dog who is very sweet, non threatning and a really nice pig! I really cannot emphasize how amazing our experience was in Kamekamehouse. Even though it was one night, we wish we could've stayed for more days. I would definitely recommend to everyone who wants to know Tokashiki island to spend at least a night here and feel the japanese/okinawan culture to the max!

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of quiet street, Minshuku Irayoi is located in Ishigaki Island, 80 metres from Shiraho Beach. Staying at Minshuku Irayoi was a wonderful experience. The property is clean, charming, and a short walk from the bus stop and Shiraho beach, full of marine life. Free shower and laundry soap, washing machine and tumble dryer are also available, which is convenient. Outstanding meals prepared by one of the minshuku owners, who is also a local artist. Do make time for a chat with her and her husband, who are happy to provide tips and recommendations for things to do in the area, and who facilitate conversation with other guests if staying for meals. Chances are you will spend a lovely evening getting to know fellow travellers around drinks and music. Stay at Irayoi if you're interested in learning about real Ishigaki life and culture!

Located in Nakijin and only 400 metres from Teenu Beach, Shiawaseninaru Kourijima no Yado provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Amazing little independent accommodation near heart rock beach. Cute room with bathroom, in a quiet location. Best if you have a car as it is quite isolated, although the local bus stops right at the front
