Clean hotel, we’ll maintained by the friendly owners in the heart of nice Kabira Bay, close to restaurants and a small convenience store.
The hotel has a vacation, island vibe and the owners let you feel at home.
We had tow Japanese style rooms: sleeping on tatami, small bathroom, small fridge and water boiler. Every day new towels.
It’s indeed nice to look at the stars from the roof of the hotel or have a coffee in the morning up there.
Would stay here again and recommend the guesthouse.

This ryokan also includes a patio that doubles up as an outdoor dining area. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Shizuka was the most amazing host! She greeted us kindly every day, and she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome on the island. She even prepared local treats for us every day! She gave so many recommendations! The space is very quaint. The semi outdoor shower and kitchen are wonderful. We slept wonderfully listening to the nature sounds. Highly recommend this spot!!!

Tokashiki
Situated 200 metres from Aharen Beach, 400 metres from Hijuishi Beach and 2 km from Tokashiku Beach, kamekamehouse offers accommodation set in Tokashiki. This 2-star ryokan offers a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. All of the staff were kind and welcoming upon arrival, and the house rules and layout were clearly outlined. The breakfast and dinner were great every day, and they made the trip much more relaxing. The room was a good size and very clean, with an excellent washroom attached. The shared washrooms on the 1st floor were great to use for a quick shower after checkout before departure. Aharen is a lovely small town in Tokashiki, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a 4 night beach excursion than kamekamehouse.

The friendly English-speaking host provided everything I needed for my first two days on Ishigaki. I loved the carefully prepared meals (even the miso soup was different all four times!)

Nice japanese tatami room. Good atmosphere.
Clean and freshly built, great onsen and pool
Expecting a 4-star-hotel (some websites rate it a 5-star-hotel) we had a pleasant stay. The view down to the pool is beautiful and seeing the airport in the background is nice as well. The room itself is big. The breakfast had a great variety from western breakfast to japanese style breakfast. The pool and onsen area was good. It was cheap for a 4-star hotel. But probrably there's a reason for this (see the downsides).
Great view and very nice onsen. It’s a good place to either start your holiday or conclude it. It’s very close to the airport but not ideal for exploring Naha. It’s major and probably only selling point is the hot spring and spa.
They rented lv 2, 3 and sufficient parking space for guest. Owner was kind to send staff 1hr in advance for our early check in. Amenities like washing machine + dryer + detergent, microwave oven + induction cooker + electric kettle + utensils available. There is a large foldable bed and sofa bed, and tatami area for futon bed. Overall just nice for family of four.
Onsen artificial hot springs. Additional pillows and nightwear provided.
The property is finished to a very high standard. The property brings a fusion of Japanese traditional craftsmanship and modern luxuries. The tatami floor was lovely and the paper screens and carpentry were amazing. We particularly loved the outdoor onsen.
One of the best hotels in this price range I stayed in Japan. I would call it modern ryokan style. you sleep on a very low bed and it’s a tatami room. Very fancy bathroom, clean, new and comfortable. Close to the Center- like 5-10 minutes walk to Kukusai dori and the shopping mall. All the restaurants and combini Family markt very close. Great friendly service. Quiet.
This accomodation lies perfectly situated on Zamami Island a 10-15 minute walk from the main village at the amazing Ama beach. The hosts are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. They also serve dinner, but we haven't tried it. The rooms are clean and nice and the futon mattress on the tatami mats gave us germans a real japanese ryokan experience. When we return to Zamami island, we would love to stay here again.
Simple, but comfortable Tatami-room with Futon-bedding. Very clean. The host, Yamamoto-san was very welcoming and helpful. She shared a lot of useful information and prepared wonderful breakfasts, both Japanese and Western style. We had a lovely time in this hotel.
