This ryokan also includes a patio that doubles up as an outdoor dining area. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. We’ve spent 3 amazing days in Ishigaki at André and Shizuka’s place. We really loved it, Especially the surrounding nature, closenese to the ocean and great, welcoming and open hosts. Next time we have to come back for a longer period of time. We highly recommend it!

Wellness pension Coco

Ishigaki Island

With a private bathroom fitted with a bath and a hair dryer, units at the ryokan also have free WiFi. All units will provide guests with a desk and a kettle.

A bicycle rental service is available at the ryokan. The owners and family are beyond sweet and helpful. They even lended me a beach towel and shorts for me to go to the beach since I didn’t have any with me, and even let me do some groceries after picking me up from the bus stop! The sweetest hosts I’ve encountered on my travels! Highly recommend staying with them 🩷

Minshuku Irayoi 2 stars

Ishigaki Island

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of quiet street, Minshuku Irayoi is located in Ishigaki Island, 80 metres from Shiraho Beach. The ryokan, set in a building dating from 2015, is 11 km from Yaeyama Museum and 18 km from Tamatorizaki Observation Point. The ryokan provides rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Simple guest house in a quiet village, just steps from a beach with gorgeous sunrises. The friendly English-speaking host provided everything I needed for my first two days on Ishigaki. I loved the carefully prepared meals (even the miso soup was different all four times!)
