Ideally situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Tsuru no Yu is situated 1 km from Kinrinko Lake, 26 km from Beppu Station and 37 km from Oita Station. Very clean onsen (you can lock the door of onsen, so it is kind of a private onsen!)

Providing city views, Beppu Kannawa Onsen HIROMIYA is located in the Kannawa Onsen district of Beppu, 26 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 5.5 km from Beppu Station. The rooms were spacious and very traditional, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The location was close to for example Hyotan Onsen and the Jigoku sights as well as Kannawa bus station for easy access to a quick trip to Myoban as well. Every morning we got boiled onsen eggs outside our door and there were filter coffee bags and hot water in the kitchen. Miho went out of her way to help us out at every turn!

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Yufuin Onsen Tsukanoma is situated in Yufu, 46 km from Resonac Dome Oita and 1.8 km from Kinrinko Lake. I recently stayed at this onsen resort in Yufuin and it was hands down the best onsen experience I've ever had! The rooms were incredibly spacious, equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a microwave and all cooking essentials. The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!

Boasting an open-air bath, garden and views of mountain, Ikkoten is situated in Yufu, 50 km from Resonac Dome Oita. This ryokan offers free private parking and full-day security. The location and serenity were like none other. The staff was so kind and provided an incredible atmosphere. The food was 12/10, I would go back just to try more seasonal favorites.

Situated in Hita in the Oita region, Sanso Tensui features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. It’s beautiful. They have like 4 onsen and rooms with private onsen and you can also book a private onsen. Very nice for couples as the regular onsen are women or men only. We had the room wit private onsen and it was worth every penny. The room looked out on the waterfall and a nice Japanese garden. The surroundings are beautiful. You hear and see the waterfall, everything is like a Japanese fairytale. The employees are the kindest. And the food is probably the best Japanese food we had. The total experience was so luxurious and perfect. We loved it!

Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Excellent location, close to Hells of Beppu. It’s within 5 mins walking distance from hotel.

Set in Yufu, 45 km from Resonac Dome Oita, Yufuin Souan Kosumosu features accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. The staff is super nice, friendly and sweet! The room is very clean and beautifully-designed. We had the relaxing stay, and will definitely want to go back again!!

Featuring river views, Shimizu Ryokan features accommodation with an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace, around 40 km from Resonac Dome Oita. Fantastic stay at Shimizu Ryokan. The onsen was great and we even got the opportunity to use the large common onsen alone as a couple. The staff would drive us to the train station whenever we wanted to visit Yufuin and picked us up. The room was confirtable and we had everything we needed. I really reccommend Shimizu Ryokan to anyone wanting a onsen experience in a quiet and peaceful place. The village was small, but charming. If you want more resturants, Yufuin is close by train.
