Just in front of the scenic Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, Wakamatsu Honten is a charming local property featuring large public baths and non-smoking Japanese-style rooms with free WiFi. That it’s a traditional ryokan. And it’s location directly across from Narita Temple. The staff is particularly outstanding as well.

Staff was exceptional; super friendly! Sushi dinner was amazing/offered a private room to enjoy our meal. Would have liked to sit at the counter but we were not feeling well. Breakfast was delicious! Breakfast and dinner were included in the room package we selected. We really enjoyed the size of the room; very spacious and beautiful; we had an ocean view room. The highlight was the in-room onsen/bath - just fabulous! We were able to relax and felt much better after our stay. The front desk host arranged our taxi to the airport and even came outside to say goodbye. Just amazing service! Will definitely be back to enjoy a longer stay.

The ocean view, the size of the room, the private bath, delicious dinner/ breakfast. The free beer/ ice cream was very nice. The comfortable beds were very pleasant.
