Very helpful and warm staff - they even cleaned the car from snow, very stylish traditional ryokan, very good wifi, large and comfy room and beds, amazing bath with high-quality water, one bath also with outside pool, and one family (private) bath. The meal was amazing, both sukiyaki and shabu-shabu style. I do recommend staying here when coming to Yonezawa area.

Location was within Onogawa, which was a quaint little town perfect to walk around in spring weather. A bit difficult to access Yonezawa city, but good if you only want to experience Onogawa. Staff was extremely thorough in explaining the facilities and things to do around the area.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Yamagata The Takinami offers accommodation in Nanyo, a 6-minute drive from Akayu Station. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

This is a 300 years family operated Onsen on a mountain. My Ryokan is facing the waterfall and it is such a pleasure waking up to the view and having tea to the sound of nature. Nice open Onsen
