We stayed at the Kaike Grand Tensui Hotel located around Kaike Onsen in Yonago for 3 days. My overall rating would be 7 out of 10. The Japanese-style breakfast was tasty. The tatami room was also comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked well. However, I'm not good at speaking Japanese, so when I tried to speak to the staff in Japanese, their attitude was very bad. If you plan to stay at this hotel, don’t try to speak Japanese unless you are fluent. Just speak in English. That’s my advice.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice bath. Rates very reasonable. Food the first night was enough for two persons. Much better subsequently when I requested less. Gelato and coffee shop with lattes 150m from Yasugi train station.

This is a gem in the mountains not to be missed. There was tea and a snack waiting for us every afternoon in our room. We could see the beautifully carved temple and gardens from our room window. The meals were delicious! Many little dishes to make your mouth water served in our private dining room by the hosts who were exceedingly polite and friendly and explained what everything was. The baths could be taken privately with a partner. The bath was very clean as were the accommodations. A short hike to the top of the mountain gave beautiful views of the ocean and the Daisen volcanic mountain. This also went by the beautiful temple, which offers meditation sessions. There were two small stores nearby selling delicious sweets nearby. We cannot say enough good things about kouyoukan ryokan and it's hosts! A wonderful place to slow down and relax.
Experience culture authentically with a stay at these traditional Japanese-style accommodations. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath, plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.

Love the onsen facilities - outstanding. Breakfast is always nice. The twin western style room is very comfortable and a great size for Japan Location is close to the beach, convenience stores and restaurants. Close to tourism office to catch bus to Yonago or AEON. Don't catch taxis - very expensive!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Room was spacious with a tatami area by the window. All amenities available by reception, with a large selection of yukata for use throughout the hotel and in the onsen on the 3rd floor. Free hotel parking is available.
Such good value for money - really clean and good facilities. Much bigger than a normal capsule hotel as it includes your own area with a desk. If I’m ever in the area, I would stay here again. The onsen is fabulous!
Seaside hotel. Able to see the beautiful sun rising from the sea level. The hotel has a notice on the timing of the sunset and sunrise. Quiet neighborhood with some restaurants nearby. I love it when I didn’t see any tourists other than Japanese themselves which make us feel like locals. Love the onsen.
Buffet dinner and breakfast is good, standard Onsen size, however, lots of traveler including tours. Free Karaoke until 6pm. 10 minutes walk to bus station
The hotel is clean and just next to the beach. We picked a seaview room from which we can enjoy a nice view. The onsen is nice too.
The breakfast was offered by a restaurant next to the hotel. The food quality is not very high, but it did provide crabs and the staff were friendly, so it’s still value for money.
It was more fancy than I thought it would be, truly amazing. The Japanese style room and the public bathing area were both a fantastic experience. Close to the beach, with quite a few restaurants and stores around, direct bus to the station. There's a fridge, a kettle, some welcome teas and snacks, and a yukata for after the bath! They have three sizes. Highly recommend.
